beginners advice on AMT

Was thinking about getting 1g of AMT , is 98.5% purity acceptable? I am entirely new to RC, but have used E,coke,weed,mcat, have used a great deal of E over the past year or so. Anyway I was looking for some beginners tips on this RC, would love anyone to answer my questions, any other general advice on making my use easier. What colour should it be? Recommended first time dose? Amount of dose- type of trip correlation? Length of trip? General effects? Best way to take? Suitable for clubbing environment, if so what dosage would you recommend for clubbing scene? General precautions to take? Many thanks

You can't name sources here.
All these basic questions are easily google-able.

But here is the basics.
1. Allergy test then wait a few days.
2. 50mg plugged ( freebase dissolved with a drop of vinegar and taken rectally )
3 18 hours
4 Its trippy but not a 'trip'
5 Significant body load, shaking, lethargy
6 Its a mild MAOI so don't mix it with other chems
7 Not suitable for clubbing, more suitable for being a puddle of warm goo on your living room floor
8 98.5% purity, if your vendor is telling the truth, is not only acceptable but as pure as possible ( i'm not a chemist...this is just something i picked up from reading about it here )

Your welcome but don't be surprised if this gets deleted or moved, people here don't like answering the basics when its all here anyway

Stay safe and respect it, people describe it as a candy-flipesque experience but your milage will vary, for me it is nothing like MDMA and fully capable of kicking your arse and its totally possible to have a bad time with the wrong set and setting.

I would recommend 35mg for your first dose. If this doesn't work for you, I'm assuming you have something similar to the weaker tan coloured powder I had last week which means you may need about 50mg.

It will last around 12 hours. First hours or two will be a bit nauseas. More can be read at the BL wiki:

Hey jamkindness welcome to BL, there's no vendor discussion aloud so I reccomend editing that stuff out. Regarding your other questions, 98.5% purity is where about all of aMT batches fall into so yeah it's acceptable. For your first experience I would reccomend starting at 40mgs. Some people might say that's too high for a first trip but in all honesty low doses are very uncomfortable with aMT. aMT can have a heavy bodyload for the first couple hours but eventually the nausea subsides and you get dropped into what feels like a sedating and strong MDMA type roll and then visuals start and this lasts about 8 hours and you gradually come down with a total trip time from 14-24 hours.

If you take a low dose you will end up getting 'stuck' during the first uncomfortable phase of the trip and it feels like the trip never develops. My first ever dose was 40mgs oral and 10mgs smoked and it was my first trip in general and that was the best psychedelic experience to date, it was amazing. I will say though that I was never able to recreate the experience after that so I say make your first trip a memorable one. aMT is a very friendly psych and I've never had or seen anyone have a true bad trip on it besides discomfort on the come-up. Also 40mgs is the exact dose I give out to new trippers and it typically lasts about 20 hours give or take.

If you want a 12 hour trip that feels 10x cleaner plug it. Plugging it makes the nasty come-up last about an hour tops and brings the nausea down quite a bit. Anything over 30mgs oral will make me vomit but I've gone as high as 70mgs plugged and never vomited so the 10 seconds of shame is worth the reward IMO. If your recieving the freebase which is all I've seen ATM then it may be orange and stinky with a brickdust texture. The smell is very unique and has the scent of old people and mothballs so it's not hard to know if what you have is in fact aMT. A

The freebase is not water soluble so storing it in a solution won't work too well so if you don't have a scale buy a cheap gemini-20 from amazon because aMT is not something you wanna eyeball. There are tiny rocks that weigh up to 20mgs and these make it impossible to eyeball. Even if my doses are the same they never look that way. If you want to plug it the dose is the same as oral and you will have add drops of vinegar till it's dissolved then dilute it with water and use and suck it up with an oral syringe and do the deed.

Sorry for naming guys didn't realise won't happen again, would anyone recommend etizolam for the comedown of amt? I'm told people have trouble sleeping and I'm not much for mixing weed with other stuff as had bad times before

I take etizolam or benzos everytime I take aMT. A benzo and an opiate make the comedown very enjoyable but I'm sure etizolam alone should suffice.
 
Oh god that stuff is bile. 60mg gave me the flu for 8 hours and I didn't get any psychoactive effects besides time dilation.

That sucks, aMT produces the best experiences for me, especially when combined with other psychedelics. Definately in my top 3 trumping many gems along the way. You should've plugged it, that flu feeling lasts less than an hour with this ROA and the trip is shortened to a reasonable duration.
 
I had a psychotic episode on this drug & i have been a user for well over 25 years done hundreds of LSD tabs & taken shrooms Countless times .

Never b4 have i had such a bad time as i did on this drug. i detest it . Cheap shit.

best stick with traditional psychs imo .
 
The worst purity for a RC is 100%, its the very worst.

If a drug is touted as 100% pure it means your vendor is lying about the purity and if he lies about the purity he might also be lying about the drug's identity, or have an unscientific mindset which can lead to accidental mislabelling.

When I read the chemical name of a drug, before my minds eye I see the lingo translated to a molecular structure that dances and rotates around freely in space. If I see something like 1-(4-chloro-2,5-dimethoxy-phenyl)propan-2-amine I visualize the molecule and get a ton of speculative and factual information about the drug based on its structure. Thats cause I know chemistry, and because of that I would never confuse 1-(4-chloro-2,5-dimethoxy-phenyl)propan-2-amine with 1-(4-Chloro-2,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-2-ethanamine, because the structure I build in my mind doesnt match up. This is how vendors and users mistake DOC for 2CC and end up putting someone in the hospital. They dont see that extra methyl because they dont know what they're reading. That doesnt make me special, it makes me educated. And I educated myself, you can do too, now that we have the internet ignorance equates to lazyness, not lack of access to information.

aMT, or Alpha-MethylTryptamine, is a very hardcore drug. Some love it, others get very sick on even modest doses. For this reason do an allergy test and start low. Don't take the drug in public until you are experienced. use it pure, don't throw it in the mix with other drugs.
 
used to like it but took it once when very pissed and woke up the next day with my head west. so never again for me

i felt unable to move or get off a couch. i was a complete mess. not cool.

I'm no chemist but column chromatography done well will get you close to 100% purity right?
 
Close to 100% but never AT 100%, 100% purity cannot be achieved. If someone claims he's got 100% pure he's either wilfully lying or ignorant.
 
On a different note from your guys experience what are the research chemicals that have effects closest to mdma, or coke? If any that is. The quality of our street obtained stuff has seriously dropped of late
 
There is always some dilution and equilibria involved that even if they strongly lead to one side they are never really 'complete', which means that levels of purity tend to increase on a logarithmic scale giving you 99.9% 99.99% 99.999% and so forth.
Colloquially people might at some point start rounding up to 100% but technically speaking things like dilution leave traces and equilibria have at least 2 sides / partials fractions.

To add to confusion, if you want to account for the difference in potency between the freebase product and several salts like the HCl salt, you will never be able to approximate 100% with a HCl salt because it is like an implicit impurity.

a few other notes:

Freebase AMT tends to go yellow and smelly a lot faster than salt form AMT products. The pure undegraded AMT itself has a white appearance, however a white color does not guarantee it is pure AMT since there are also colorless impurities.

Don't try drugs like this for a first time in a club but first get to know the effects before making a judgement call on that.

And yeah it lasts 15 or so hours maybe more, but I cannot really comment on how long the trippyness or stimulation really last. I personally get the unusual reaction of having to lie down like on my couch and getting super dreamy. For me it is not stimulating but rather like going to hypnagogic la la land with MDAI effects or something.
