Hello,

I'm 22 years old, I have been training on and off for approx 4 years now and have hit a brick wall. My diet is very high in protein and low in fats etc, weigh 76kg and am 176cm tall (5'9 i think)

I'm ready to hit my first cycle and need some good advice. I'm thinking test for 4 weeks followed by a mix of test and tren for the next 4 weeks. I'm looking to build lean mass, and do not want to get abnormally bulky, and obviously am not interested in gyno!

Please advise?

First off we need a little more info in regards to your training, diet, supplementation, etc...Why not post a picture and allow us to go from there?

Trenbolone is not for beginners..Actually, I wouldn't recommend tren unless you're competing on a national level..Just stick with test and possibly an anabolic i.e equipoise, dianabol, anadrol, etc...

It seems that the most effective and "safest" first cycle is test e or c for 12 weeks with arimidex or aromasin during and after the cycle and clomid and hcg for pct..

I'm sure that Victor and maakshif can help you out in more detail..

like PAR said we need a little more info...What does your training routine look like? What does your exact diet look like? What is your approximate body fat %? Define your goals a little more clearly, like what you mean by abnormally bulky. 4 years on and off training doesn't really sound that good to me. I would recommend that you need at least 1 year consistently training and 2 or more would be better. If you aren't able to stick with a workout, you aren't going to be able to stick with a cycle enough to maximize it.

Honestly, I think you have a lot more to go naturally before doing steroids, 76kg (168 lbs) is not very big for 5'9. I would try to put on at least another 20 lbs naturally while you are researching. Remember diet is the key not AAS. AAS are not magic solutions, so if you are not dieting and training properly to make them work for you then you are just wasting time using them.

PAR pretty much nailed it with Test E or C for 10-12 weeks @ 500 mg/wk as a first cycle. You can use some dbol for the first 4 weeks if you want. Forget about tren until you've got several cycles under your belt. You can use Adex or Aromasin on cycle to help control estrogen, but only Aromasin can be used post-cycle.

You've really got a lot more research to do, imo also. Some things that you need to look for and study up on are:

1) AI's (aromatase inhibitors, i.e. Adex and Aromasin)
2) HCG
3) blood work
4) beginner cycles
5) PCT
6) Proper injection sites and techniques
7) Different esters

Tren on a first run is a terrible idea. Un necessary and not a compound you wanna be 'learning' on.
 
Thanks for the advice, spot on guys you have given me a good place to continue my research!

Training routine: 4 days a week, its based around supersetting and is very high intensity. Its a great program which i've stuck to religiously for over a year and a half, changing up the exercises every 6-8 weeks, in terms of cardio I walk 30-45mins a day (6days a week) at a decent speed and incline. - 6 months prior i was training 5-6times a week, without giving my central nervous system much rest, hence not much results... now im eating right and am so tired after taining that i sleep like a log from 1030pm-7am every day.

Diet: 5 meals a day, 4 boiled eggs for breakfast (only egg whites), the rest of my meals are chicken/steak/fish and vegetables interchanging each week. I also eat a lot of raw almonds, and take 4-5 protein shakes a day. This has also been going on for approx a year and a half.

My approx body fat % is 12%

My goals are to reach 90kg with a 5-10% body fat - I'd like to look very lean and natural. What i mean by abnormally bulk is those guys at the gym (and no offence everyone has their own goals!) who look very much out of proportion. i.e. arms which are wider than their waist...

In terms of my history, 3 years ago i weighed 85kg and i think my body fat would have been around the 40% level (to exagerate)! so I am happy with where I have gotten, but id like that little push to see some more results over the next few months.

If possible i'd like to take 1 or 2 cycles and then maintain it through dieting and training...?

The reason i liked tren is its categorised by many websites as a bulking/shredding steroid. So it seems to fit into both the categories I'm interested in.

congrats on the great progress...I still recommend trying to gain another 20 or so lbs (roughly 8 kg) naturally before using steroids ...you should always try and reach your natural potential before adding them in and if you aren't planning to go past your genetic potential then you really don't need steroids if they aren't for medical purposes...diet is truly what you are going to rely on to put on mass and shrink fat, not AAS...if you want to grow eat more, just keep it clean food and if you want to lose fat adjust your diet accordingly...too much cardio will also impede fat loss and muscle gain

you need to learn how you react to test alone first before adding in other compounds...if you were taking test and another compound how will you know what is causing the side effects you begin to experience when you've never ran either one separately?

test e takes around 3 weeks to saturate your blood and then 4-6 weeks to start noticing its effects and should be ran a minimum of 10 weeks for maximum effectiveness...tren is a very very harsh compound that is only recommended to be used by advanced people, that is why all the flak from other boards and because many of the other boards just have a bunch of dickheads...you also don't want to take anything that is going to require you to pin more than twice a week for a couple of cycles until you really get the hang of it

take the time to research and continue growing naturally for a while, you'll thank me later trust me

1. Test E - 250 mg 2x per week...do shots on Mon/Thurs or Sun/Wed or setup similar to that...basically you want to do them 3.5 days apart, so like Monday morning and then Thrusday night...you don't have to do it exactly like that though, that is just ideal...i do Monday/Thursday splits and do them before bed

Aromasin - I'd start at ~12.5 mg/ed and adjust as necessary...25 mg/ed is the max that you should take but that can be a bit much and drive estrogen too low..you could try splitting the 12.5 mg into 2 doses per day for max effectiveness as the half-life is about 9 hours, but doing it all at once will work just as well...one thing to keep in mind is that Aromasin takes a couple of weeks to "kick in", but if you start it at the beginning of the cycle you will be more than fine

2. I would take the aromasin throughout the entire cycle every day and then on through PCT the same way

glad you decided to research some more...makes me feel better about giving you advice because it shows that you want to do things the right way and believe me that is very rare in this lifestyle and even more rare with younger guys getting into it
