Ooh! My turn! I was arrested once. It sucked ASS, but what is really going to happen to me remains to be seen...
I had been tweeking pretty hardcore all weekend and in to the beginning of the next week, just a little over 96 hours with no sleep. It was my policy that as long as I showed up for some of my classes and my grades were still ok i could do as much meth as I wanted and everything was okie-dokie. So, I get back to school but my fatal tweeker flaw takes over I MUST clean the car!. In addition to merely cleaning the car I thouroughly carpet sketched and was elated to find a teeny tiny nearly worthless-sized rock o' meth which I immediately put into one of my little baggies.
Now, it seems quite simple the proper thing to do would be to put the baggie in a pocket or purse or at least somewhere out of plain view and the little voices inside my head were insisting that I do just that but nooo, I just had to leave it on the back seat as I continued to carpet sketch. Fucking dumbass. Of course a campus cop happens to show up patrolling the parking lot and gets out of his car to ask me what I'm doing. I was looking totally strung-out but I attempted to casually reply that I'm just cleaning some trash out of the car. The cop comes closer... and closer... and closer... He sees the baggie and I am busted, handcuffed and sitting in the back of the car as he searches through my bag and pulls out a myriad of empty baggies with residue all inside, an obviously well-loved meth pipe, several empty lighters and a butane torch.
It was actually kind of humorous now that I look back on it because I knew I was fucked but I was still tweeking pretty hard so I wasn't really upset. The cop calls for backup and this giant black dude shows up and the first guy tells him to watch me really closely because 'she's been doing a lot of speed and she could jump up and disarm the both of us'. How flattering. It really sucked in jail because by this time I was full-on hallucinating. The floor was twisting and moving in waves, every time any of the doors opened or shut, which was almost constantly, the loud noise would have me jumping out of my skin. I could clearly see and hear some of my friends coming to rescue me and all the voices of everyone in the jail seemed to be either calling my name or talking about me. When they took a blood sample to make sure I didn't have some dreaded disease to give to everyone else the lady asked me when was the last time I had any fluids because I was so dehydrated she could not see my vein. The other women in the holding cell kept insisting that nobody was coming down the hall, those non-exsistant people were not talking to me and that I must be crazy. God, that really, really sucked.
I ended up only spending another 14-16 sleepless hours in jail and was released on a signature bond. My parents came to pick me up and they were fucking pissed- I come from this prefect white upper-class suburban family and this was totally unexpected. I was never even in the fucking priciple's office when I was younger.
I don't know about other states' laws, but in Georgia if there is enough meth to give a positive test, even residue, then it is enough smack your ass with a felony posession charge. Ouch. I got kicked out of college until next fall, a pretty sweet deal as I was caought on campus and everything. I haven't been to court yet, my arraignment is this Thursday so my ultimate fate is stll uncertain. I really don't want to go to prison!!
Yeah, so that was my story. Hope my stupidity and misfortune have been entertaining.
