Hi all!

Beano from Brisbane here, been visiting the site for a while now and decided to take the step and start adding a bit of education to :)

25yo and been experimenting for...oh shit i'd say a good 16yrs, suffer from ADD and am due to start taking strattera in a few weeks (only just been diagnosed even though it's been evident all my life..grr...).

Umm not sure what else to say but im cheerin i found this site!!! take care all n have fun :D<3

I have ADHD and have written a thread in The Dark Side about ADD/ADHD and Drug Abuse. I have not tried Strattera, but I wouldn't mess around with an SNRI such as this one, it appears to have rather nasty side effects ...

The side effects include, dry mouth, tiredness, irritability, nausea, decreased appetite, constipation, dizziness, sweating, dysuria, sexual problems, decreased libido, Urinary retention or hesitancy, increased obsessive behavior, weight changes, palpitations, increases in heart rate and blood pressure.[10] [11]
Occasionally after prolonged use some teenagers have experienced slow onset mild depression while using Strattera.[citation needed]
Confirmed cases of Severe Liver Damage have been reported by Eli Lilly and Company. A Black Box warning was issued by the FDA in 2004.[12][13][14]
Other side effects can include psychosis, mood disorders, depression, abnormal thought patterns, suicidal thoughts or tendencies, and self injury.[15]
Such side effects can be particularly prevalent when a dosage which exceeds the dosage to weight ratio is administered to a patient.[citation needed] This increase in the medication to weight ratio may be caused by a change (loss or drop) in weight and must be watched carefully.

No problem, I like to help share information to people about medications. A lot of the medications some doctors prefer to prescribe are actually much riskier than ones that are harder to get prescribed, strictly because drugs like d-amp are much safer for me than taking atomoxetine. Reading up on it, I would never use atomoxetine.

Everyone is different though - and a lot of people have had to try many different medications until they find the one that works best for them. :)

No matter what medication you decide to go on with your doctor (IMO it should be a collaborative effort between you and the doctor/psychiatrist - the latter typically being more easy to work with on these sorts of things), just make sure you know what side effects to look out for, and make sure you also have an alternative plan in case side effects make a medication undesirable to stay on.

Is the valley stilk full of all the wankers from the city that ruined it for all?? years ago it was all time.when FAMILY first opened,and MONESTRY around the corner.. There was a safari bar there too that we used to hit first,actually it mightve been a japanese restaurant with a theme bar..

I wrote my mates car of after firstgoing to fishos eating kanagaroos,then a couple yellow pandas on the way to bris,amd eventually doubling brown amserdams..winged out-ni trains- so my dickhead mate gave me his car keys to drive back to the gold coast...
Long story short,i smacked out on the M1 only to come to when i heard the car grinding the concrete baracades...the car was raw metal the entire drivers side..great story..fucken expensive story.but im here to tell it

Northside of brissy around the strathpine area, haha yea man valley isn't the nice drug happy night out spot anymore, city's still full of angry ppl looking for punch-ons, I first started hittin the val back in 03' was bloody awesome for the firts yr or so (ballushi's, RG's, then family came along) haven't been out regulary now since...japanese restraunt with the themed tropical is bloody mad as!!! went there for a friends 21st pretty sure (if i remember correctly) it's near the wickham. Man thats a nasty lil evening! mind you though it's a damn boring drive from bris-goldy and back...worst i've done was go to put my foot down, v8 pwr kicks in on the damp highway and here i am fishtailing across 3lanes, just missed the barrier, and then just missed it on the other side to! fatigue isn't fun :P

Turned onto m1, doing bout 90 km's an hour,put it back in third and pulled a solid 150 metre skid pissing smoke from tyres.tank slapped across three lanes.hit car next to me then barrier..

5000 damage to other car.8000 to mine.. If your into rice burners,its the magaenta calais w white interior in zoom 2007 issue..it was a fuken weapon

funny you say cut of your jib..im a boat builder and dont mind a sail now and then on yachts..jig being a sail.. Nothinh like a sydney--hobart with a boat full of tweekers.. Save some weight on the food rations anyway..

hahahahahahaha you ppl are mad as! Thanks heaps n3ophy7e :) haha and yes yes I know :P and deadset gavatron thats indeed a weapon! I only have a pretty stock 5L just the normal cold air n exhaust with paceys, was the 195i though bloody solid motor! love to charge it one day, just not 100% sure wether i want to go turbo or supercharge route...one I figure that out i'll be cheerin :P
