i know many probably hate the taste of 1,4Bdo...i absolutely loathe the taste but love the effects....so what i did was take an eyedropper and put some into around 4 big capsules, which measured out to around 3.5-4ml or so (a normal dose). i froze them to make sure they didnt get soggy and leak, so I think this is a pretty damn good idea. Any comments?

Yes I find capsules to be a good way to bypass the taste, though they do tend to leak. As with freezing them.....never tried this but seems like it would work. But no.....you didnt discover this. I did.

The capsules work great especially to take a dose out with you, but, come on just down the stuff with some OJ were only talking about 3 ml's. GBL tastes alot worse than BDO.

no, ive tried downing the stuff down with oj, i used about 2 glasses....there were two problems encountered here..
1. The bdo is very oily and heavy, hence it does no good to put it into anything because it simply wont mix with anything, moreover, it will settle to the bottom and will be the last gulp u take. I feel like I have a very sharp sense of taste so I think it hits me hard which leads to:
2. just like the patients of the common chemotherapies, when i drink something with bdo, the association of that drink with bdo becomes everlasting and I am forced to remember the foul taste evertime I drink oj or what have you. This is quite nauseating and uncomfortable. So I think Ill stick with the pill idea.

Awhile ago at a rave a friend wanted to smuggle in GHB but didn't want to fool with tryingto take in into the party in liquid form - what he did was take some corn starch and add the GHB, everything was carefully measured and when it dried he had an improvised GHB powder.. this was then capped and he had an easy product! I never actually tried one but people reported that they worked great!

do you think that if the bdo is left out to dry/evaporate(with or without cornstarch), it will form dry crystals that can be used just like the liquid?

BDO is a liquid at room temperature. The only way it is going to become solid is freezing it at 18 degrees(C). The BDO I had mixed up just fine with water, it was very soluble. It didn't help the taste at all, though.

Zapo I know what you mean it's like puking off booze for the first time. I will never be able to drink pepermint shnapps again! This was over 15 years ago and it still makes me queezy. I've heard that the cornstarch method is a good one too. I know this stuff freezes at a very high temp. I left a bottle under my sink and it froze. The temp could'nt have been under 60 degrees.maybe you can freeze it and dose that way??

if someone slipped 1,4b into my glass of OJ i dont think i would even notice... a friend i gave 1,4 to in a glass of mixed up cordial couldnt taste it either.

i guess for me its the actual knowledge that it exists in my drink so my tastebuds and sensory system is prewired (conciously) at that moment to actually look for it. Its somewhat like when someone tells you that its late and you realize you should be sleeping so you program or force yourself to become tired. Somewhat like a placebo effect in a way.

hmmmm...I actually thought of something kind of cool.....i remember from psych class that the only way to prevent your ability to distinguish between tastes is to close your nose (because it is linked to taste perception). This could prove useful in such a case....maybe capsules arent needed after all. Ill go buy a clothespin

It may dissolve in alcohol b/c the booze acts as a solvent. This is just a theory, and I am too lazy to look it up.

Yes, alcohol is a solvent, as is water. BDO dissolves very readily into either of them.
