BDD Social/Info Booth v.27 - Mugz is a habitual meph-ender

Well I'm not, so fuck you :p You yanks need to realise that you were all brought up in a totally different culture to us Brits. It may not seem all that different but we are not used to having to work 24/7 to eat and if you miss one day you die. We are much more civilised and dare I say it, but a better society for the country as a whole. I'm not an individual fan of society and it's rules, but some of them are treating me well at the moment so I can't complain.

Ooh, that's a bit ugly. What you've done is attach a value judgment to the fact that our cultures are different. I'm sure it seems pretty harmless when you're talking about America, but would you be more comfortable in declaring "us" to be more civilised than an African or Middle Eastern nation? We ought to foster mutual understanding rather than declaring other cultures to be inferior to ours. One would hope that the lessons of the fall of the Empire would not be forgotten in a single generation.
 
^ are you joking? Of course you are more civiliZed than Africans or Middle Easterners. Vader, they are BROWN.

Also, we AMERICANS (USA! USA!) bomb both rather often and the US only bombs less civiliZed peoples because we are humanitarians like that.

past participle, past tense of civ·i·lize (Verb)

Verb:

1.) Bring (a place or people) to a stage of social, cultural, and moral development considered to be more advanced: "a civilized society".
2.) Polite and well-mannered.


Those have undeniably positive connotations. Whether YOU consider 'civilisation' a positive thing or not is wholly irrelevant. I've never heard someone say "those people are way too civilized" BECAUSE of the overwhelmingly positive denotation and connotation of the concept. You are just trying to rationalize being ethnocentric :p

I'm good - I discovered there were over 60 people interviewing for that job I mentioned (1-3 open spots) so I didn't think my chances were too good but I got a second interview so I'm psyched.

Just trying to decide what to cook for fizzle this evening...

I'm alright...could use some heavy medicating as usual, but lack the sources/funds atm (well, even if I had the funds, it's been so long since I've had funds, I wouldn't know where to find shit; I have a friend that get's scripted some norcos/blue footballs, but those are normally gone pretty quick just by her, and the heavy medicating I'm talking about requires a bit more than norcos lol)...

I envy you for the alice...haven't stumbled down that rabbit hole in a couple years and it's by far my recreational DoC...it's just so rare in these parts...I got some bunk shit a couple months back, but didn't hardly feel any of the effects (took 2 hits along with 60mg of MS-Contin and didn't feel shit...shoulda just spent more on the 30's and forgone the alice as I get them for dirt cheap anyway)...

Currently waiting on a huge ass game to download...think I'm gonna try to get caught up on breaking bad while I wait on the download (only ever got midway through season 2)...It was funny a couple years ago (long enough ago that I was walking and able-bodied) when all my friends were telling me how badass of a show it was when they were condemning me a few months prior for doing meth...

@Cane...good luck on the job interview...I know it's just serving, but you can make really good money doing that...
