Just wikid it myself too, and it seems that the last two Batman films were a mix of more than just NY and Chicago

Nolan designed Gotham City to be a large, modern metropolitan area that would reflect the various periods of architecture that the city had gone through. Elements were drawn from Tokyo, Hong Kong, New York City, and Chicago

St. Charles isn't bad - it was just voted the best place in America to raise a family in one of those fruity family magazines and I worked there for years. Some of my best friends live there currently.

Now let's be clear here, I don't personally hold these views, I just thought that was the norm in 'bama ;)

I used to think Chicago would be filled with a bunch of angry obnoxious drunks until I actually went, I think it's time you plan you a vacay to Gulf Shores and see what we're really about. ;)

I believe it about the best place to raise a family, the farmland is really nice and peaceful. I wouldn't mind rearing children there.

The film "A Time To Kill" great film by the way, gives the impression that there is a ton of racism and backwards thinking in the southern states, the film was set in Mississipi but I imagine it to be pretty much the same in alabama

Actually the suburb best for rearing children here is Wheaton (highest per capita amount of churches in the nation)... oh wait, you meant it like RAISING children right? Neeeevermind.

psychopath - I appreciate your enthusiasm but you're making me fucking work (yes, I realize no one else will know what I mean here).

DelRi0 - in the north we're tolerant of people. Please don't call my sexual preferences wrong.

Well I'm not going to bullshit you, it was like that but I mean hell, all societies change. Just look at London, you guys used to burn witches in the streets, there was even a "law" against being a witch, i.e. Witchcraft Act of 1735 so, put that in yer pipe and smoke it ;)

Sorry if it seemed like I was being intolerant, I was not saying you were wrong at all. I was just being playful I'm in a good mood. I'm about toasted so please excuse me =D

Dude, lets talk about drugs. I didn't sign up for BL to talk about how racist a particular state may or may not is or have been or could have been more racist then the others. I'm even over bashing England.

D R U G S

London did that in 1735 - when was the last time Alabama had cases of violence against minorities where race was a major factor?

Obviously everywhere has made progress and I enjoy joking around, but I can't say I'm comfortable that the progress that's been made everywhere is enough.

Psycho - no worries, you're being helpful. I'm just lazy =D

EDIT:

NT is right, D R U G S! It's what's for dinner... now who here likes drugs?

That film was set only 15 years ago though, not almost 300 years ago. I know societies change, but change takes time. I'm not saying that everyone in the southern states are like many of the characters in that film, quite a few aren't, especially the lawyer.

America is full of hardcore fundamentalist christians who won't change their views whatever anyone says, and most of them are in the southern states. Wasn't it only last week that gay marriages were legalised in New York, and there was a ton of picketing and uproar at that, and I thought New York was one of the more liberal states. :\

Dude. I like drugs.

Did I mention that I like cocaine. I'm about to snort another line. Just gunna finish it all today. Got some clonazepam and buprenorphine in my system already. Feelin' pretty damn good. Plus I have some $50 U.S. dollar bills and a $1000 Mexican Peso bill to snort it with. I'm alternating between the two, gotta give Mexico props, as I'm sure that's where this stuff came from!

DelRio, dude, the Birmingham Campaign, where Birmingham Police used high pressure fire hoses to dissuade African American Protesters, happened in 1963. He kinda has a point...

I have a point as well, societies change. I would never defend anything that happened in the past, but Alabama is no longer the gun-toting racists everyone wants to portray and if you're well traveled you will know that every state and/or region has racist people living there. That is all I have to say about that.

+1

NT - gotta love that cocaine! The cost makes its use self-limiting for me which I find is actually beneficial so it's a great treat like 1-3x a month for me generally. I've been completely sober 5-6 days a week on average for a while now so going all out with some coke once in a while is very nice =D
