Bathtub

I had a flashback to an awful childhood memory the other day. I smelled something that was similar to a bathtub full of plastic toys that have been sitting there soaking in stale water for days. (if anyone knows what im talking about, it's pretty sick) It brought me back to a trailer that my friend lived in as a child with her five siblings and mother---Wrote a poem about it:

Bathtub

A waft of memory
The stench of
Fermenting plastic doll heads
In the bathtub
Of the trailer bathroom
There’s no room
For inhalation
Or pissing
But rather
To piss off
The unsuspecting
The clean
The shiny and sheen
Little girls
Who need
To wash up
Their hands
And knees
But are greeted
With filth
Down below
And in-between
Caked
Into the sink
And that fucking
Plastic bathtub
Stink
I’ll leave dirty
It’s not worth
The sacrifice
To risk the
Head lice
Or who knows
What on my
Thighs
For the smallest
Bacteria
Are disguised
Within the
Barbie-doll eyes
And toothbrushes
In disarray
I cannot
Hide
Time to exit
The fungi
Hell pit
Jump in the car
Drive fit
Fuck the stop sign
Don’t stop for it
I ruined my shoes
They’re covered
with dog shit
What a horrid
Environment:
A whore and her
Five children
Taking care
Of themselves
While mommy’s
Ass is bare
Fucked
and Fucked up
On who
Knows what
From who
Knows where
Stay away
From over there
Past the stairs
Where the air feels
tweeked
The children
Not scared
Well aware
Have more than
An idea
Of what’s in her
Nose hairs
Crystal meth
The shiny death
Has taken over
tries to get money
people owe her
For children
Or drugs
For fucks
Or other meaningless
Funds
Spent bad
And spent fast
On each fucking blast
“I swear it’s the last”…
Now let’s just
Get the fuck out
Make your hugs acute
Don’t mosey about
Out the window
no waves
or smiles with teeth
Don’t shout
For I don’t want
To let them see
Any ounce
Of approval from me.

wow. this is like every argument i ever overheard as a neighbor, and even some i took part in. it feels violent and inspires a passionate furry. i can clearly picture this as a screenplay. this is really wild. fantastic stuff
