Discussion question 2-
  1. Why is it important to understand the difference between proper use and misuse of substances?
I have issues with the so-called proper use and misuse of substances. The proper use depends on how the substance is to be used. The term misuse are the condition in which a used substance is being out of context from its intended use even though the effect of the substance is beneficial in both instances.
Example psychedelics have been used and revered sacramental in spiritual settings, however, for the casual user who is not affiliated with the spiritual group takes the sacrament out of it's intended use, the casual user misuses the substance even though the effects and results are the same.
This is how the term drug abuse came about.
