Base? What is it?

Ok so i've heard of people taking about racking base? What is it? I'm thinking something like speed or the likes, help people!

Speed in the UK is normally like 7%-10% amphetamines (a guess) and the rest cut. Base is just less cut, maybe 12%-17% amphet. Im sure someone will correct me on the figures of exactly how much cut there usually is.

spose it all depends where youre from.
In australia, base is speed but stonger. Speed is usually bout 10-20% pure amph. while base is anywhere between 25 and 50% pure amph.

Base is freebase wich can mean lotsa things. Exactly what kinda freebase we talking about. Freebase can be meth, ketamine.Mdma , coke. Pretty much anything. Freebase is is the the analog before HCL. Freebase is less soluble in water than Hcl, so when snorting freebase the onset will take longer. Also freebase is usualy cleaner than the hcl as street cut is less common.

Freebase is the opposite of HCL, HCL is acidic, freebase is, well, a base. Thats why you use baking soda (a strong base) to make coke crack. You convert it from acid to base. Base and acid drugs are used differently, coke is snorted, crack is smoked... Freebase is usually smoked but it all depends on the chemical....
If someone came up to me on the street and asked if i wanted any base i would first assume they were talking about crack

Crack = freebase, freebase = crack. Base = speed (amphetamine).
That is if you live in the UK or Aus. You guys in the US don't usually get amphet. it's normally meth so I'm not supprised you don't know UK/AUS slang.
Also as the man said "rack" thats as in "racking a line" you wouldn't rack a line of crack now would you? IT'S SPEED

The US is unfamiliar with the amphet. terms because all of the amphetamines here come in pill form from prescriptions (ritalin, adderall, etc..) sorry for the misunderstanding

Bleh! a slang thread....
It is GENERALLY acepted that "base" refers to cocaine base - aka CRACK ... yeah, in othercountries it might meen something else, hence the reason this is locked - if you hear some forgine slang, don't be afraid to ASK "what the hell does that mean?"
