Would it be safe to use phenobarbital to come off of meth or to help me sleep. Like would I suffer any ill effects if i took enough to make me sleep while i was still tweaking? What would be a recommended dosage to just help me sleep a little easier whil tweaking?
 
Yes, it is safe.
Rxlist.com suggests a dosage of 100-320 mg when using phenobarbital for sleeping/hypnotic purposes. Adjust the dose based on your weight...i.e. if you are a lightweight take less, if you are big take more.

i'm really surprised so many people have access to barbiturates lately - these drugs have been largely phased out since the advent of the benzodiazepines, and it's very interesting to see people who have them.
provided you're not actively ON meth when you take the phenobarbital you should probably be ok. no guarantees. at worst, though, you could die like a rock star. which isn't all that bad.
 
Interesting fact. Back in the day, some pharmy company made a pill that was a combination of dexamphetamine and some barbituate

There are some barbs floating around my neighborhood now. Alot of butalbital(which is REALLY weak) and some hot pink capsules(not pharmaceutical) that are supposed to be pentobarbital. Occasionally, I even run into some Seconal(yellows) which I know are next to immpossible to get a script for, even if you can find a pharmacy that carries it.

Mmmmm pentobarbital (aka sodium pentothal). Interesting that it is pink, as euthanasia solution is also pink. Meth and barbituates should be fine.
 
A lot of people seem to have access to phenobarbital and butalbital. They are both C-IV and have a moderately low abuse potential. Butabital (in Fioricet and Fioridan) is better than phenobarbital because the latter is akin to a bad alcohol hangover (it lasts all day and isn't particularly fun). I have complained of painful headaches and been readily scripted Fioricet, and Luminal (phenobarbital) is mainly prescribed for epilepsy and the occaisonal alcohol withdrawal.
Anyways, Amytal (amobarbital), Tuinal (amobarbital + secobarbital, the R&D branch of that company must have been full of barb addicts, this is fiend logic), Seconal (secobarbital), and Nembutal (pentobarbital) are all C-II drugs that are VERY hard to find (by legit need or otherwise). I remember reading somewhere that less than 10% of all depressant scripts filled annually were for barbiturates. The better ones definitely aren't commonly stocked by most pharmacies. Consequently, they are more fun than Fioricet or Luminal, and you should definitely stock up.
As someone mentioned, it's too bad that drugs like Dexamyl (dextroamphetamine + amobarbital to counter the undesirable effects of speed) are no longer available AND commonly prescribed.
Interesting medical fact: Phenobarbital is often used to treat amphetamine induced seizures (mainly status epilepticus) when IV diazepam is ineffective. But don't assume that phenobarb is safe with drugs in general because it has a number of significant interactions (speed not being one of them). The other downside is of course the ridiculously long half life (like 24+ hours) which equates to a long hangover effect like Valium.
 
As for the availability of butalbital (Fioricet), I've definantly noticed that more and more migraine sufferers are getting scripts for it in the past year.
Unfortunantly, it's rather weak. The effects are subtle at best. But for some reason, I always jump at any opportunity I have to get some. It's also great to take 30 minutes before having sex.

Dexamyl. 5 mg d-amph, and some amount of amylbarbital (I think). I had the pleasure of coming across a few of these. They were quite old, 25-30 yrs or so, but still good. All the euphoria and energy of d-amph w/o the edginess. They used to prescribe these for every day depression. There were quite a few other combos like this. One that comes to mind is desbutal, which was a methamph/barb combo.

Seconal were reds (actaully kind of a red/orange color. The yellows were pentobarbital.

It seems to me that Fioricet is now the number one prescribed drug for migranes. I was given one for it a few months ago. The only thing that sucks is my doc will only write them for every three months. I'm only suppose to take them when I get a migraine so he only gives me 30. Good shit though...
 
interesting stuff i'm amazed i have never tried barbs there is a synth for it alright!
 
Sex is just better on butalbital. There is not one particular thing I can mention.. I just enjoy the overall experience more.
It's also more fun when the girl takes some.. girls get freaky on barbs and benzos for some reason.
 
Sounds like performance anxiety to me.
But I will admit that barbiturates in the right amount rival alcohol in their uninhibiting abilities. For me, a high dose of barbs is at least as uninhibiting as getting drunk to the point of blacking out. Either way, you won't remember much the next day, but your friends will be telling you stories about your behavior for a long time.
