Hey i'm curious about the barbiturates.. its one class of drugs i havent tried yet and i'm wondering what. what kind of barbs are there and what are they used for? i know they were replaced by benzos so their no prescribed much. anyway what kind of effects am i to expect from them?

I think barbituates are very risky. They give you a bit more of a high then benzos, but it's easy to overdose on them. They are also a lot more addicting. You're better off sticking to benzos. Much safer.

im hoping to try these as i am traveling to a country where these are sold otc.

from what i have remembered reading, you have to be careful with the dosages and addition potential

yea same here im planning a trip to poland and my friend there has a hook up for it, thx guys

stupid idea.
1) They aren't that great
2) Majorly addicting
3) Very likely potential for an overdose especially mixed with ANYTHING else including alcohol
4) Tolerance and dependence builds up very quickly
I say don't do them. The most it will cause if you take a normal amount is mild sedation. They are really hard to get off of, ect.
Seriously, stick with benzos.

I took barbs for a while (pentobarbital) and they are a bitch. Get ahold of some benzos like everyone else said. Less chance of death, and they can be mixed with other things without as much risk.

phenobarbital sucks, i'd take a good benzo over that anyday. secobarbital on the other hand, is one of the best GABAergic downers around. only quaaludes can beat reds, and secobarbital will blow any benzo away.

they are risky and rare today though, i'm lucky i have a seconal hook up. addictive as a motherfucker but oh so nice...

All barbs produce way more sedation than any benzo recreationally. Benzos won't force you to sleep, but Barbs will if you are on a good dose.

Barbs are also way stronger anxiolytic than benzos. Seconal makes me come out of the shell and become a over exerting socialite. I can only do this on benzos combined with alcohol. (I'm tolerant.)

Benzos will never make a person shuffle across a room in a heavily euphoric stupor like a good barb.

you should try methaqualone, its even higher on the "downer chain" than good barbs.

imo its goes: shitty to regular benzos<phenobarbital<good benzos<other barbs<methaqualone

For me: Shitty benzos < Alcohol < Good Benzos < Shitty Barbs < Carbamate Muscle relaxers < Good Barbs.

I plan on researching where I can find Ludes.

i got phenobarbitone 60mg tabs and they are crap.

i took 300mg and no recreational value whatsoever

I had an OD of phenobarbital a long time ago, and the first days of dosing were cool. Definately recreational for me. But afterwards... not so cool. I just didn't know how potent, yes potent, phenobarbital is...

Today pretty much all we've got is Butalbital & Phenobarbital...and some other not much prescribed. Everything else is rare. Secobarbital is good (tried it only three times). I personally enjoy Butalbital but Fiorinal contains all that caffeine. Phenobarbital isn't so great but it can help with sleep at higher doses. No euphoria though.

Butalbital does come in formulations with out caffeine, you gotta ask for it...

Axocet, Axotal

Axocet is with tylenol, and Axotal is with aspirin.

Butalbital has a very low water solubility much like Tylenol, this will fail tbh.

That sucks. Well I guess there is no product that you could really abuse butalbital. I just wished there was a medicine that just contained butalbital because Fiorinal is alright...decent. As for the water solubility, for some reason I was thinking opiates. Duh. I guess because it was a combo medicine that includes acetaminophen.
