is there still barbitol on the market? im in northamerica (Can) and I am very much interested in this substance. If this isn't still on the market is there any thing similar? And I want to tread lightly here, not to violate any rules, but I am also wondering about how if barbitol is still available I would go about obtaining this? they will give me any other anticonvulsants but I havnt yet been prescribed this.

The only barbiturates still prescribed are phenobarbital (even then it is used as a last resort for treatment reistant epilepsy) and butalbital in Fiorecet/Fiorinal.
Veronal/diethylbarbital is not in active prescribing use any more, it is nowadays used as a cell buffer in some biology labs.
