Banning online psychadelics Question

Do you think in the present future they will eventually ban ;

1. the ingredients for making DMT/ ayahuasca

2. Magic truffles/ magic mushroom growkits

3. aMT

If you could please give me thoughts/views/opinions as since discovering psychadelics earlier this year they have changed my life/mind dramatically.
I suffered with depression/anxiety/social phobia disorder for the last 8 years and now I am finally starting to feel like life is worth living and while I can ourchase these items online my faith in the future of my life is looking better at last.

Peace... bighooter

It depends what country you live in. Sounds like you're from the UK though (correct me if I'm wrong) - and you already know the answer to this question then. Yes they will ban all of those, it is only a matter of time while it goes through the convoluted legislative procedures. I really don;t understand what you're trying to ask here. And please do not talk about your "online purchases" here. Seriously!!

aMT is already banned where I am, with many more on the way this year. Banning chemicals is just the way the cookie crumbles I think, they scare a lot of people. The DMT extraction movement will always be around because DMT is in such a wide variety of plants that they could never all be successfully eradicated or controlled. That being said, if MHRB were to be banned it would be a huge blow. Same goes for cactus too - even if they ban the various popular Trichocereuses, people will find other psychoactive cacti eventually. Shulgin has some 20 varieties or more at his lab, all containing alkaloids. Mushrooms also seem pretty impossible to get rid of. They're explicitly illegal where I live too, but people can still grow them very easily, and they grow naturally if you know how to find them.

Don't let laws get in the way of your happiness. I don't need a law telling me not to murder to keep me from murdering. In turn, I shouldn't let a law that tells me not to take LSD keep me from taking LSD. Fuck the police.

I doubt that plants containing DMT will be banned, simply because that makes for really difficult legislation. Some forms of the plants may be, such as root cuttings, or dried matter, but you'd still be able to obtain the plants in a more plant-able form.

I would say that mushrooms and growkits could get banned, simply because there is no legitimate reason to purchase these. Though that sort of law is easy enough to circumvent. AMT is already illegal where I live (Australia) and I can't speculate what would happen in other countries.

I am glad to hear that psychedelics have helped you. If you want to keep returning to them, there are quite a lot of things you can grow, and not break the law too.

Thanks for the replies guys, and yes I am from the UK.

The only thing if these above drugs get banned is that I have no source of LSD/magic mushrooms or any other hallucinagen for that matter.

So do you have any idea (just take a guess) when they will get banned, I mean do you think there is still like a year left of availability?

sorry for commenting about purchasing anything I didnt realise we talked about swim on here so thought id straight up tell it how it is.
For the record would you rather get aMT or magic mushrooms if you had a small budget of say £100.

Chances are you could look in your back yard and find a plant containing dmt... It is one of those substances which just cannot be eradicated.

"Where have all the cacti (powders) gone?"

EDIT: it's a statement of dismay at the difficulty of not being able to find cactus powder on the internet, not a sourcing request. Just to be clear.

^The solution is to get some non powderised cactus. And then powderise it ;)

I'd get AMT because I can't grow it.

OP - the answers are probably:

1. Maybe. There have been a lot of seizures in the UK of m. hostilis root bark, and their might well be a move to legislate at some point.
2. Probably not for now.
3. Almost certainly as soon as the temporary ban law comes into force.

You can take heart that you live in a country where there are naturally growing mushrooms, so you always have that source to fall back on.

Ah.. you are suffering under the misapprehension that legislators think logically about these things. I refer you to the earlier ban in several states in the US, that bans products containing direct or indirect cannabinoid receptor agonists. Which therefore makes things including echinacea and paracetamol schedule one substances... well thought out, guys:

i think it will be very difficult - if not impossible - for the law to keep up with the constant array of "new highs"
the large variety of visionary plants that we aren't aware of yet but that must exist in the large variety of natural habitats, combined with the constant inventions of new chemicals, makes me think that there will always be a variety of mind expanding tools available.
so the ones available at the moment will probably not be as freely available in 20 years time, but there will be new ones
so in a few years there might not be aMT available at smartshops, but there will be ____ in it's place

Not really. Analogue laws, and the type of law being considered in Austria at the moment which basically bans anything that gets you high could well put the nail in the coffin of legal substances.

hmm, i really dont think so.
on one hand i dont think there are that many substances out there (that are easy to get, or in enough quantity or easy to make in a lab). im sure nature is quite resourceful, just that there is a limit to the things our brains can process.

on the other, there will be very little incentive for companies to research new drugs if they cant have a constant business to sustain them. for instance, lets say that a company wants to find a replacement or alternative for aMT. to get to something remotely similar, they have to invest in research and synth a lot of other chems that might prove bunk before one appears suitable. and even then, there is a chance it might be toxic or dangerous somehow when field tested. now if the company cant sell anything before, then it would need a lot of capital to start with, no? or at least some very determined chemists...

but the law can and does keep up with the new highs... unfortunately that is. because the newer they are, the less tested they are. now aMT is hardly new, but at least it has been tested and the effects are documented. with other substances there is a lot less known. and the substances that will appear to replace these... well they will be even less tested and known. the rc scene will just be a dangerous place. just like the law makes it to be.

Hmmmm, I recko they could ban dried MHRB, quite easily....in UK I mean...

I'm thinking of stockpiling a ton of it.

Serious. ;)

They could 'ban' kits sold as 'Magic mushroom grow kits' What they cannot ban is people buying jam jars, perlite, and rice / floor. There is also a thriving and fully legal market in the exchange of spores for the budding mycologist's out there !

Please don't tell me you can't find Liberty Caps (Psilocybe Semilanceata) in the UK? unless you happen to live in the city far from any fields or grassland, sheep fields are the places to be looking at - moorland with sheep is the best place IMO. There were loads around a few weeks ago around about the time we had all that rain & then the gale force winds. Probably none about at the moment as it's got too warm for them to be fruiting, though this coming mid-week is looking much better with more rain & temps closer to 15c in the day & 10c at night if you're up North, if you're down South you could be waiting a while. There's a very popular site that'll really help you out with identifying them but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post the link, easy to find if you just google though, Good luck :)
