Ban mephedrone-like legal high, says UK drug advisor

Maybe you're not a journalist, but you are here for selfish reasons without doubt. A simple look at your first 4 posts rings alarms very loudly. Most people on here have a brain, and people like you come visit daily and indirectly insult the intelligence of every one of us.

you seem to know everything about every about me and my intensions just from a few posts. bit paranoid?

seriously chill out man!

thats write there does need to restrictions, regulation, quality control even tax'em as long as you are deemed an adult and make an informed choise know exactly wot compound/purity and any health risks, same as alcohol and gigs.

some of this crap there knocking out with stupid brand names when tested aint even what they claim !

newbie here although have been viewing bluelight for a while an excellent and informative site.

I just stumbled across this news and thought that it would get a reaction.

apologies if it's in the wrong place, your thoughts on our killjoy government please!

Thanks for posting this - but since a similar thread was posted the day before, I have merged the two stories.

Also, please check out the forum guidelines which give advice or how (and what) to post in this forum: http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/showthread.php?t=196886

Enjoy. :)

Naphyrone is garbage, almost certainly carcinogenic, with dubious recreational properties and many health hazards... Good riddens!

Alcohol ticks all those boxes but doesn't seem to perturb the masses…

The simple fact of the matter is that as long as this stuff goes up your nose and comes in a white powder, the general public will be told it is "like speed, coke or ecstasy"

It doesnt matter how safe it is too take, whether it even has ill effects on the body or whether it would be more damaging to go out for a pint than snort a line. Its all about how its presented.

The media probably helped alot more people get into taking mephedrone than dealers and word of mouth combined. I know as soon as it was in the news there was an instant surge of people who now wanted to try this drug theyd only just heard about.

The goverment just cant be seen to condone something that looks, goes and acts like an illegal drug. Intelligent research will be put aside too look more favourable in the eyes of the public.

Yes the government make another thing illegal, the class systems obviously need changing is it going to be every 4 months another ban makes the headlines?

the more they try to make these substances off-limits the more hype they will create and the more kids who will see the articles and want to try it. there will always be chemists/people who want to play chemist working on synthesizing something that will replace whatever the current substance is that's under the gun. they need to fucking realize that criminalizing marijuana and other relatively safe drugs is the main incentive for these people to create new, more harmful drugs that aren't yet illegal. fucking infuriating.

ooh I am annoyed :X

US-style analogue laws thanks to a ridiculous MEPH frenzy. RUBISH!

^i'm angry too after all researching new compounds is essential, if no body tried them we would still be having slow and painfull operations using hack saws and a bit of wood between your teeth as pain relif.
NoS (nitros oxide) was used recreationaly before its safe administration/dosage and pain releving benifits were found.

it can also make combustion engines increase there output/efficiancy to the point of self destuction!
