Palm plant, wrist spin
Flailed leg, begin again -
The battles raged inside my skull
aren't for skill or joy. Tearing the air
against who's there, beating back
the crowd of disposables,
attempting to prick my silence
with education.
Polish the mind, betray my muscles
My banner-guard of tussles, slipping
through
the openings, falling through the cracks,
dodging my gains, and finding my lacks.

I really like this. The language is sharp and subtle. Especially this:

Tearing the air
against who's there, beating back
the crowd of disposables,
attempting to prick my silence
with education.

But there's no filler or false notes - it all works like a dance.

I like the meter and the interweving of literal breakdance with something more abstract. nice work :)
