Opioids baking soda or ammonia to make oxy HCL a smokeable freebase?

Since most bases are better suited for smoking than salts, could one make oxycodone HCL or even heroin salt into their freebases using the same TEK(s) people use for making crack from cocaine HCL----via baking soda OR ammonia?

Also, IF such a conversion can be done, would it even be worth it....can one smoke and get high safely from the freebase of oxycodone?
 
This is truly interesting. I know nothing about chemistry but I want this to happen lol.

I am one of those stupid kids smoked OC's and roxi's. For a real dumb time it was my main roa.

I still to this day do not know if it truly worked or it was simply the ritual of chasing the dragon that was so addicting. I know that after smoking a roxi, you'd just crave another.

The 1% or so of active chemical that got to my brain probably just urged me on. No other roa was so... crack-like lol.

so yes let's see where this discussion takes us.

Oxycodone was designed for oral admin...
 
Yes, but smoked (efficiently smoked) oxycodone would be a great rush w/out using a needle...
 
Oxycodone IS smokeable. The issue is that oxycodone pills have lots of binders/filler that can't be good for the lungs and that may hinder vaporization. Additionally, many of these extraneous ingredients could find their way into your freebase product and eventually your lungs.

So, rather then looking to create Oxycodone base from Oxycodone Hydrochloride, it would probably be in your best interest to UTFSE and find a means of isolating Oxycodone HCL from prescription tablets.

I have seen people smoking OC's off of tin foil. I can't comment on the effectiveness because I've never tried it myself.

IMHO, if you're really looking for a better rush than oral ingestion (which, as we all know, has the highest bioavailability) crush and insufflate. Even with reduced bioavailability, the rapid peak plasma concentration DOES give a rush. Back in the day, I would regularly snort half the dose and orally ingest the other half.

If you don't already IV, don't start.
