Opioids Bags were obviously wet at one point - Can they be fixed somehow?

A friend of mine was beat buying stamp bags yesterday. The heroin was clearly wet at one point and now is just a very dry, almost gummy substance that can be scraped off the sides of the bags. She insists on not wasting it as apparently, it was the last of the money she could spare to lose this week. Anyway, she said it doesn't get her high but does keep her from going into wd so at least it's real. Ruined but real.
Since she bought it that way, she doesn't know anything about how or when it got wet. From what I've read, it isn';t getting her high because while getting wet it turned back into morphine.

Is there any way to fix it now? She IVs so I'm worried she's going to get sick.

this has nothing to do with turning into morphine. that does not happen from heroin getting wet.
opiates are soluble in water... the reason she doesn't get high is because a lot of the drug must have dissolved into the water(through the bag) and leaked somewhere else...

theres no way to "fix" it, but she probably wont get sick from it... she just wont feel it as much.

Here is some threads for you to skim over I found after quickly searching.

They are both focused on H mixed into a liquid solution though, not just H that has been 'dampened'. It's hard to really say what happened with the bags you're talking about

No problem. I've had a few wet bags before but i just scraped it and didn't think twice. it was wet from arizona ice tea, so i was injecting myself with iced tea... no problems at all. although it was risky and if i let it sit out for days it could have gotten moldy or bacteria could have contaminated it and i could have gotten an abcess and infection. but really if thats all she has, and she doesnt know HOW it got wet then it might be safer to plug it. (rip the needle part off the syringe then shoot the syringe into yer bum)

but a junkie is a junkie and she probably doesnt give a shit, and is just angry that its not getting her high LOL

I guess i was wrong.. but these state that every 12 hours the heroin is in a suspended solution 10% will turn into morphine.
so still... the water probably dried out in a few hours waaaay under 12 hours so if any of it turned into morphine, it must have been very little. (5% TOPS if anything)

^^yeah I edited my original post after realizing they were both focused on H being stored in a liquid solution. Not just having gotten wet.

You can dry it out in a microwave, be careful not to over do it. But as has already been mentioned: heroin is water soluble, so whatever got those bags wet took a lot of the dope with it. Drying it out won't make it more potent, just easier to consume.
