Bad rebound anxiety and rage day after taking lorazepam

Does anyone have bad rebound anxiety from lorazepam?

Last night I took 2 mg lorazepam and today I have had extreme anxiety bordering on rage and have cancelled all my plans. I've been laying in bed with my heart beating like crazy (or at least it seems to) then I get up and I am so angry and want to smash furniture

And this isn't the first time this has happened. I guess I learn the hard way.

Would taking a lower dose maybe 0.75 to 1 mg prevent this?

I've never experienced this from lorazepam but I had a rage episode one time on halcion. Have you been taking it for long and what is your usual dose? That's a good idea you have lowering it to 1 mg. See if that helps and if it doesn't, talk with your doctor.

Nah I don't but my grandma said she is always angry the next day after taking xanax which I know isn't ativan but it's a benzo. She said eventually it turned into suicidal thoughts and that's the last time she fucked with them.
