Cocaine Bad reaction to stimulants - safe to try again?

A friend had a bad reaction to what is thought to be PMA on the weekend. Didn't test the pills because they had been had by a friend the previous week that said they weren't very good but nothing suss.
Anyhow this friend would have had 1 gr of cocaine over 10 hours and then took 2 pills. Whilst this combination might not be entirely responsible - the friend has done so before without any serious complications.
On this night the friend felt like something was wrong 2 hours after taking the pills - felt like their head was on fire and skin was burning - felt all hot in the head. Went to the ER to be safe - had BP 159/101 and pulse 113 per min.
Anyhow nothing dramatic on ECG and they administered valium and monitored my friend until they discharged a few hours later.
Whilst my friend isn't going to be mixing cocaine and pills any time soon - they are concerned about taking any stimulant at all any more incase of having a similar reaction. Obviously each person reacts differently and has different tolerance to stimulants but wondering if anyone has had this sort of experience? The friend doesn't want to stop taking drugs altogether and for the most part thinks they are quite responsible when they do so.
They understand that cocaine is a powerful stimulant and can be damaging to the heart -but if they were to have coke again and just take it easy (smaller lines with more space in between) would that be a silly thing to do?
Cheers

hey buddy, we know its you, dont try to pretend like your talking about someone else.

pma is supposed to be extremely dangerous on its own, earning it the nickname "Death" from what i've heard. Mixing it with cocaine just sounds like the next nail in the coffin. Not only that, but by combining the two drugs, you get lessened recreational effects, but vastly increased negative side effects, due to the MOAs of each drug, so you're basically risking death for a shittier buzz.

No i know that - I didn't intend to take PMA i intended to take MDMA - but as I said didn't test them as a friend of ours had already had them. PMA was DEFINITELY NOT the drug I was intending to take - I really should have tested it. I wouldn't take that on its own let alone combine them knowingly.
Lesson learnt.
So I'm just wondering whether it'd be ok for me to take MDMA or cocaine on their own again in the future? Hard to question to answer but still don't want to have that happen again

I'm confused - you think that by having this episode once that I will now get more side effects as opposed to recreational effects simply taking ONE stimulant on its own? Either cocaine or MDMA?
I obviously won't enjoy more side effects. But I think that the scenario above was predominantly due to PMA, but would have been made worse by cocktailing. I'm hoping that by sticking to one stimulant in a moderated manner the risk may be minimised somewhat?

Thanks I do and I will - there have already been posts about these on pill reports as being adulterated- something clearly wasn't right about them. I also got them from a source I've been using for 2 years so guess I got complacent about testing them also.

I guess I'm more concerned about having cocaine again as it is more cardio-toxic than MDMA. I never do more than 1 g in one night though and usually over about 8-10 hours.

I don't think its particularly pure as we are in Aus - and I have been using both cocaine and MDMA sometimes together for over 6 years with no complications thus far.
Is there a length of time i should wait before using cocaine again? Given that this episode happened 48 hours ago - should I let myself recover for a certain amount of time before having stimulants again? Or is this not a factor? As of yesterday my BP and heart rate had returned to normal and when I was discharged my ECG was a bit "funny" but the doctor said it would settle down after all the gear had worn off

In general it's not the best idea to mix MDMA and cocaine because you increase your chances of side effects. If you still wanna do it wait at least a week (if you can wait more, even better) before taking any more cocaine (I assume you are not thinking to also take MDMA in a week) and start with a little bump instead of a fat ass line. Wait a few hours and check your BP, then if nothing bad happens, go for a line, wait some more and then whether everything is ok or not, call it a day. If everything is still ok the next day, then you can go back to doing your 1g over 10h thing.

I know using a cautious approach is a pain in the ass, and you would just want to get high ASAP, but I'm sure it's better than ending up in the ER again, and the next time you might not be so lucky.

MDMA and cocaine even work against eachother, MDMA needs to be reuptaken on order to do its work and cocaine being an SNDRI blocks that.

Wouldn't it being an SNDRI accumulate the 5-ht serum levels even more, putting him at risk of serotonin syndrome? Both are methamphetamines and you are basically compounding the D reuptake quite a bit. Not sure what you have, if ANYTHING, just do a quick freebase and you'll be left with your intended product--that is if you're comfortable switching MOA and ROA.

Coke is not an amphetamine, nor methamphetamine.

Combining it with mdma is always a bad idea, as been said, the combo is not going to be more euphoric than either drug taken alone while much more risky.

this is the reason i stopped enjoying any kind of upper,
or even adventurous drugs like weed and acid which i used to love to death.

now i use a downer once a week. sometimes an opiate, sometimes a benzo.
