Bad night vision / very dark vision in low light caused by meth use?

I've been using this meth it seems very pure, big shards, active at low doses etc. Good stuff.

But it has made it so I can barely see at night, even if my pupils are bigger than normal. Like, can barely see if i'm gonna bump into something when walking down a street.

What causes this? Is it an impurity in the meth? Does all meth do this?

A friend of mine also noticed the same thing, with the same meth.

Everything looks normal in bright light conditions though.

I would stop using it straight away and see if the effects disappear or even switch to different meth if that's easier.

Either way you should probably get your eyes checked out, you dont wanna permanently damage your vision.

Are you giving your eyes time to adjust?
Yes, its definitely not that - doesn't matter how long i'm in the dark that i can't see properly

Sorry if its not ADD material I was just wondering if there was a known impurity in street meth that is known to cause this, maybe this is better for the Other Drugs forum if you want to move it.. its just that i've taken pharma grade (not desoxyn but a known chemist who made it pure/powder) and this didn't happen.

Vitamin A deficiency. Easily plausible due to the less than stellar nutrition while on a drug like meth. Eat more carrots.

I have heard this said before - but I eat normally (actually i have an appetite while on meth, unlike adderall/dexedrine). I noticed it seemed to go away after I took a geodon to sleep - kicked in and walked around the house and i could see more normally. Also what is it about methamphetamine that would severely deplete Vitamin A as apposed to not eating on regular amphetamine? I never once got this dark vision thing while on adderall/dexedrine (or other stims like MDPV) or the pharma grade meth.

I'm just wondering what are some typical (possibly toxic?) by-products of street meth production that can be left over in the final product? (that could be active)

I doubt its from any 'by-products' of the production. I think you've just been using it too much. When your pupils dilate unnaturally your cornea gets far more light than it should and this can damage it. If you've been using for a long period of time your eye adjusts to having an excess amount of light because the meth obviously dilates your pupils, so when you're in the dark it isnt used to having less light causing your vision to be compromised.

But thats just what I think.

I would imagine that since meth causes your pupils to dilate, you should actually be having an easier time seeing in the dark.

I know I see in the dark much better while on amphetamines, blow, mdma, etc.

I also know I have a pretty rough time seeing in the dark while on opiates (pupil constriction means less light - or whatever light sources there are in the dark - being absorbed), eh?
