Great headline!

By Billy Haisley

We've heard of poppin' some molly and sweatin', but not popping molly, snorting some coke, car-jacking an ambulance, careening every which way through traffic, and then jerking off in the police station. That'd probably make for a better song, though.

The above scenario was just a night out for Colorado State student Stefan Sortland. Sortland took the above-mentioned drugs before heading off to a Halloween party. At some point in the night, Sortland noticed an empty ambulance outside, and thought, Shit, time for some joy riding! According to police reports acquired by Denver's ABC 7, police tracked the vehicle and found it in bad shape:

Loveland police officers said they found the ambulance in the middle of Highway 34 with several doors open, heavy front-end damage and fluid leaking.

One officer said it appeared the driver of the ambulance had hit the raised median, jumped the curb, hit a sign, went the wrong way and crossed back over the median before stopping.

Officers said they found 18-year-old Stefan Sortland standing about 30 yards from the stopped ambulance wearing an EMT vest. Officers shot him with a stun gun when he refused their commands. Sortland had a blanket, a cell phone and a box of Wheat Thins with him.

After eventually subduing the 18-year-old, the cops took him back to the station, where more hijinks ensued:

Sortland was taken to the Loveland Police Department.

There he "stood on a bench, kicked the wall, and masturbated," according to the police report.

Police said during his interview with officers, Sortland made a reference that his "friends/roommates were dead, in heaven, and had committed suicide."

Somebody find that kid a better dealer. That was some bad molly.

Doesn't neccasryily mean bad Molly. He could have been new to coke and Molly and combined them before he knew how he reacted to each.

Similar incidents happen every weekend with alcohol intoxication and no one seems to focus on the drug 'abuse' then because it's inconvenient to mainstream society's quality of life, let alone have it published by the media.

Big whoop - he couldn't handle his liquor suspect purity MDMA and/or cocaine. Instead of laughing it off and making him pay for damages, this is an exception because he altered his mind with those "hard" drugs which are inherently evil, so we should let everyone know about it.

These are the same type of arrogant individuals who insist that "guns don't kill people - people kill people."

Well, I say that "drugs don't implicitly harm people - people harm themselves."

In other words, mind altering substances don't forcefully - and without question - infiltrate a human being's body on their own. It is the actions and behavior of the consumers which can lead to harm.

That being said, in the minds of drug warriors, it seems that certain drugs are so inherently evil, and such a scourge to society that they directly influence the decisions of those in their presence - just like that. It must be some form of magic.

Don't get me wrong - what this knucklehead did was very reckless and potentially fatal to innocent bystanders, and he should be held accountable for it, but stop blaming the drugs because they happen to be the illegal counterparts to alcohol and nicotine.

For every idiot who combines what is suspected to be actual MDMA + cocaine and goes on a similar joyride, there are countless consumers who will combine the two drugs and will not do such a thing.

I know I've combined both drugs a few times and never reacted in such a manner. On the contrary, the combination always makes me sketchy as hell, so I don't feel like doing shit. And yes I know we all experience these things differently, but still, what happened here is extremely rare, I'm sure of it.

It just bothers me that they focus on the drug use if it ain't booze. Okay I'm done now, sorry if I came across like I was ranting again.
