Bad Acid trip - Where to go from here.

I'd guess that opiates or cocaine--ie, "feel-good drugs"--might help.

Mmm no, Cocaine is definatly not a wise choice to take while experiencing a bad trip.

you know that feeling of "gee i'd really like some MORE cocaine"
well imagine you just peeled your way though ... a half gram.
You know that craving for more. That gets more intense the more you do.

You don't want that sinister craving for more while high on psychedelics...*shakes head* No you do not.

Best thing for a bad trip is benzos. In my experience, when you dose benzos during a bad trip, you still have the visual distortions, but you feel like you're back in your "own mind". Also, I think a lot of the "bad trip" effects are caused by unpleasant physical feelings. I've never tried this, but I'd guess that opiates or cocaine--ie, "feel-good drugs"--might help.

Benzodiazapines may be useful when you are testing the waters. I find them to fuck me out of a good trip.

The OP raises a kind of 'harm reduction issue. Suppose someone has had a psychotic break style episode on a psychedelic drug. The prudent thing would probably be to leave them be. But there are some who will want to have a glimpse of these things again, despite their previous bad experience. How would someone approach that way that minimises risk? I think, probably dabbling at the low end with mushrooms or a 4sub tryptamine might be the best way. These drugs can have a very facillitating and light in effect at low doses, where the user can become familliar with the sensations in their subtlest form before deciding whether to go further in. Acid, with it's medium to longish duration and the difficulty in establishing dose etc, is probably not the best way to get reaquainted with the headspace after a bad turn. Not that I can speak from experience, because though I have had challenging moments, there have been no screaming ab-dabs so far. It only has to happen once though, so I am carefull with myself.
Good luck OP. Peace - Pipp

I'm 100% certain acid is not for me now. Every past time I had taken it (6 or 7 times totals), I knew there was something about it that made me uncomfortable.

This is not meant to be rude, so take it some other way: maybe another 6 or 7 more times and you'll finally understand what you've been 100% certain of all along.

Some people are just not "equipped" to handle what psychedelics have to show, thus they have a bad trip. Remember, LSD is just a chemical, it's your brain that's living.

I had a friend who completely lost his mind on LSD and he didn't know who I was not would he listen to a word I said. I did little research on LSD before we took it and u r suppose to keep the person calm and let the emotions flow through but he only listened to his own thoughts and kept repeating himself and took his clothes off and much more, however while all of this is going on I am experiencing things I never have before and trying my very best to calm him down at the same time. The cops had to be called and he now never wants to do acid again and I don't disagree, by the way he didn't even want to try acid and his parents had to watch him wip his dick out and year their shit up and i knew it was all my fault because I was the one who wanted him to try acid with me even tho he didn't want to at first. But that was the best and most amazing thing I have ever felt, it was beautiful. My concern is that now that he had the bad trip I'm afraid that if I take it again I will think about that memory and I will make myself go crazy. I really really really want to try LSD again bit I need to make sure I can control myself but hallucinate at the same time, I really wish my best friend would do it with me but I dont think his mind is right for it
