Bacteria Growth in Stored Liquids

How bad is it to drink a liquid that has been stored so long there was bacterial growth?
Are we talking an upset tummy or serious complications?

Reason for asking:
I have GHB that's been sitting in a vial in my closet for at least half a year and the top of the vial had some yellow shit on it when I looked at it just now so safe to say there has been bacteria growth in/around the GHB itself.
As far as the GHB I think the color is more yellow than I remember, it's definitely a yellow liquid now whereas before I'm pretttyyy sure it was more clear.

Anyways is it safe to drink or no?

The body is pretty resilient to the things we can put in our mouths. I wouldn't IV any solution that's been sitting longer than an hour or two myself.

yeah i wouldn't even consider that, strictly oral i'm talking about here as i know first-pass metabolism can handle quite a bit with stomach acid alone.. right? lol still interested in my original question though, basically is there never going to be a bacteria contaminated liquid that's been sitting for months or years that will be hazardous for your health to drink or even mamke you vomit?

GHB solutions are often alkaline which would inhibit bacterial growth. Some of it probably just degraded into relatively benign chemicals.
