Quick question for you RE: Back pumps!

The kind that are painfully debilitating and mean that you are unable to do virtually any form of cardio, also accompanied by intense calf pumps. Do you know of any cure for these? From what I've searched:

- Taurine
- Potassium
- Magnesium
- Milk thistle
- Water
- Cranberry juice

It seems taurine either works or does sweet FA. Potassium looks like it might help, will adding 2-3 bananas pre-workout help? Water intake could definitely improve. Have you tried or heard of anything that actually works? Thanks.....

Potassium Supplement if you have a clean bill of health and a gallon of water a day. Those two things work for me.

I have heard a lot of bodybuilders swear by Taurine. Never gave it a shot though.

Magnesium would be a good thing to try as well. A lot of ecstasy users take it before rolling to stop jaw clenching. It relaxes the muscles. It also relaxes the bowels and in some people much more than others so I would take it before the gym unless you know how you will react. I don't need a "I shit my pants on steroids" thread.

Taurine is ok and can help. Bananas dont have that much potassium in them thats a joke that people still think that. there is more in sweet potatoes and tons of other fruits/veggies. potassium sups can help. honestly if your on orals it is probably them, if i run more than 30 mg of dbol everyday i get them BAD, so I stick to 30mg when i run it.

I used to get bad back pumps and a similar feeling in my calves too. I found that creatine about 40 minutes before a workout helped. What is giving you them? I think I used to get them when I used Superdrol.

Think you might find you don't get the best effects from the creatine taken 40mins before.... I thought it had to be taken 2 hours pre-workout (if you even bother)...

I don't even know why I typed Creatine. I think it was in my head from reading another thread. I meant Taurine. I used to take Taurine powder 40 mins before a workout to get rid of back pumps.

I don't why I typed creatine there.

Taurine and Potassium work wonders for most. Be careful about potassium supplementation. Do some research about the dangers. A banana with your pre-workout meal or shake will be a good start.
