I was on this site previously for years but blanked out my account and set the password to random letters due to job issue (background checks/government job).
Ive been on Methadone since 2009, I'm trying to come off slowly but I keep getting stuck at around 30mg and have to go back up (was around 80 at my highest). I got down to 21 but had to jump right back to 45 within days.
I'm at 40mg now. But even though while on Methadone I put myself through school and got clean for my child CPS got involved cause my fiance was stealing drinks out of my methadone and now because I'm on Methadone they say that no person on methadone can raise a child (I'm fighting this solo without a lawyer, and am up against a very biased worker)
I'm trying to deal with the side effects of methadone which keep getting worst, my fiance whom I loved dearly left for another man, I've lost my house and my car and everything I owned and now at almost 30 live at home helping my mother with her stroke.
Even though I have no criminal record, have been clean on Methadone for 3 years with full carries I have to see my son in a small room supervised once a week. Aint that some s$%#. But I guess that's my battle for now.
I guess I'm coming back to the community for the support. I've lost a lot, and the world tends to forget about us, and its that support I miss from this community and those who arent trying to find a way to get high undetected but the people on this site whom like me have lost everything want to help each other grow and get back to being healthy.
Respect to all those who aint made it, and respect to those who are taking their first steps to sobriety.
Peace and Love.
