HELP identify powder that melts to a yellow/red oil
Hi guys, im new to the forum and really need some help with a question for SWIM.
recently SWIM was given an amount of white powder and needs help identifying it. SWIM diluted the powder in water and performed a DIY drug test which returned positive on amphetamine and methamphetamine. SWIM was able to crystallise the white powder by mixing in hot water and allowing it to evaporate and by another similar method with acetone, however SWIM found that the substance in powder form and in crystal form would melt to a yellow / red oil which also let off a pungent smell then burnt to a black.
SWIM would like to know what this may be and or how to test to correctly identify the substance.
