azithromycin + alcohol?

I went to a doctor today because I have a sinus infection. He prescribed me some azithromycin. I took two today as prescribed which is a total of 500mgs of azithromycin. This is the first day I've taken it and I'm supposed to take 250mgs a day for the next four days. I have 3 beers and 1/2 of a bottle on wine in my possession and am planing on consuming it tonight. Is it bad to consume alcohol on antibiotics such as azithromycin? I don't care about things like alcohol and dehydration reducing my ability to fight infection but I am wondering if I'd drop dead or something horrible to that extent if I mix these two things.

No. Azithromycin wont harm you with alcohol

have no idea of the interaction on this, but if alcohol was contraindicated it would probably say so no the bottle.
