Probably keep your weapons under lock and key, preferably have some very close friends around but not more than one or two... to help you if necessary and ready to leave you alone and dispense with the hollow pleasantries. Yet be there for you in a true hour of help seeking.
Prepare by spending a lot of time thinking about what you are planning to get out of this experience and to put a true conclusion to random bullshit wandering through your mind for no reason. You cannot just put an end to all issues of course. If you really cannot, then it apparently is a real issue and be ready to have it thoroughly invaded.
But typically I think that people may underestimate the amount they can put closure to themselves. There is a lot of useless thought conjured up by your mind to just question basic necessities and try to figure out if you are all done and doing well. Most of it is superficial. REALLY think about stuff, just by sitting quietly not trying to think of anything. That technique should readily show you what your subconscious thinks is important. Shut it the hell up, it's being too practical. The practical stuff can be extremely confusing for strong trips but still be unnecessary and simple enough to just work through sober any day of the week.
I have not used my DMT orally yet but I have used mushrooms (which have 4-HO-DMT in it, among other things) together with MAO inhibitors such as B. Caapi possess. And I also think I have a good picture at this point of what can cloud your mind when put under duress, and what cannot. Or better yet: what has a right to assign your limited attention.
