True, cocaine has cardiotoxic effects because it blocks sodium channels causing electrical abnormalities and inhibits catecholamine reuptake. Amphetamine causes increased dopamine levels that auto-oxidate causing radical intermediaries at doses above therapeutic ones. While cocaine mainly inhibits reuptake of monoamines, there is growing evidence that it also releases dopamine¹.

In any case the point was that cocaine is hardly harmless compared to other stimulants.

Ok. That was pretty much what I thought. The oxidization of dopamine itself causes neurotoxicity, but doesn't the phosphorylation of DAT by amphetamine cause most of the damage? If this was also how cocaine interacted with DAT, we should see the same effect, I suppose, although cocaine likely has less of this effect since it is thought to act more as a DRI.

But, to the OP, the weed and lsd shouldn't cause you much trouble but mixing all those stimulants will. If you have to do one, mixing lsd and mdma(not exactly a stimulant but close enough) would be the way to go. Candyflipping + weed is magnificent.

Not sure if there is anything toxic about that in and of itself (i.e. if the effect and conformational change are irreversible, I think in general phosphorylation is), or if it is just that this results in the transporter causing an efflux of dopamine, which is a problem because of the oxidation. Do you know this?

I don't feel like rummaging around for a source atm, but I have read on numerous occasions that phosphorylation of DAT can cause some direct damage. Also, I saw a thread a short while ago that showed that amphetamines use can shrink the maximum capacity of 5ht and DA vesicles, not enough to be considered damage in sober life, but reduces the maximum effects from high doses. I will check these out in more detail a bit later.
