It began innocently enough when a co-worker at the hostel I worked in gave me a tab of LSD. I’d never tried anything other than weed, and that first experience of synesthesia as I watched my favorite music fly through the room changed everything for me.
Over the years I’ve dabbled with weed, LSD, shrooms, ketamine, and opiates. Always researched as much as possible and approached rec drug use with respect. Lost a friend early on to an OD and always kept the risk of addiction in mind when planning. Making a schedule and sticking to it has worked for me. No more than a couple of times a week with any addictive substances.

Recently I’ve been enamored with growing all the most alluring varieties of papaver somniferum. I love gardening. Nothing more rewarding than growing my own. :)

@PoppyPoddy - Welcome to Bluelight :)

Is that avatar your garden??

Happy to hear you are using responsibly and doing your research.

Do you ever get high then go for a nice long walk? Walks are the best. :cool:

With more than 30 alkaloids in pods, no more than once a week is the safest bet for me. If I find myself craving anything I’ll wait a week or two before re-dosing. I treat poppies as an uncommon gift to myself. It’s more enjoyable that way, safer, and gives me something to look forward to.

madness-Long walks at a nearby lake are one of the most pleasant ways to enjoy a relaxing day with my thoughts. :)

Hey and welcome. I'm something of a gardener myself. I used to grow vegetables, but thank God growing cannabis was legalized in my state so that's my main plant now. I have a few tents just as mentioned in this source. So I make my own cbd oil but I consume it only for pain relief (arthritis and plantar fasciitis).

Hello @PoppyPoddy, nice to read ya.
Respect is always a useful attitude when it comes to psychoactive substances, i find, good for you! I'm not advertising it, but watching my own plans (for the use of potential addictive stuff) crumble was a quite a leraning experience, but not necessary fun. It sounds trivial, but just sticking to nature seems very often the more benign and save way e.g. Fentanyl vs. poppies, noids vs. cannabis, etc.

🥰 ..could not agree more.

Greetings, good luck with your growing season 🌱

Welcome to BL. Your special garden sounds very interesting. Personally I’ve always loved designing and making a garden but truly loathed maintaining one. I’ve made a few that had people looking over the fence making admiring fotos when I’ve moved into a new house but eventually they all go to wrack and ruin and polite but an anonymous notes to stop letting the neighbourhood down. My understanding is English gardens are often meant to look dishevelled ?
