I need to put some space and time from me and this poisonous US east coast city. In two weeked a s I am closing up the house and letting BA take non-stop benzo sedated business class to hethroy where Iam promised a showere. Rome. I have been a hard term coke head for many of my 55 years. I need to make a change. I only introduced myself albeit, miserably last night. '

I do speak limited Italian and better Spanish. Noted a couple NA meetings every day. My question though is anyonfamiliar with or know of research groups who may be hosting those type of gatherings in and about Rome, Italy?

Good Morning, I read your introduction as well and I just want to be clear are you asking for a support group in Rome to help you stop your cocaine use? I think if you look on the internet you will find many. Italy has an incredibly high user rate of Cocaine..to the extent they have been able to test and find it airborne!

If you are looking for people who have experience of meetings in Rome I can't help you. I wish you luck with quitting. Coke is a fucker to breakk the back of but it's not too late like you say in your introduction. Think of all the money you will have and the opportunities you gain with it if you want to/can stop?

Inflorescence, Thank you for your reply. Yes I am looking for people who are not using in Rome. When I hit the ground that day, I just want to know I have someplace to go. I have found http://www.na-italia.org/ I allowed it to work once before but the program goes does not agree with a personal choice that has improved my sobriety. Sure, we can all use the rooms and take what can help us or leave what doesn't and just hanging around is cool too.

My Spanish is better than my Italian having lived in Rota, Spain, peru, and Columbia. Will you be in Italy during April?

I am British born but my Father has residency in Italy in the North. I visit him there but never been to Rome. Windows 8 is terrible! Stick around..most people here speak only English but they are generally nice and will help you if you ask. Good luck finding what you need

And I have never been to the north of Italy. In June, I have to meet my father in Paris so I will be taking the train from Milan to Paris. Europe to me has always offered me a diversion away from the mindless dribble I grew up with in the states. Until I lived abroad I thought US life was the only life. What US life is today is limited Life and prognosis it not getting better.

Sure you have a couple states that have decriminalized marijuana. Recognizing the US had more citizens in prison as a percent of population than any other country in the world. More persons of color in prison than any country. The entire justice system is a public works project to build prisons to house people of color, give other people jobs, and have a treatment workforce and facilities for control of the consumption of a plant that has been around for a million years. I can say this as an American..... I hate this fucking country. I have right to say this hear but not for long. I am a honorable military veteran who wants the fuck out.. sorry for my use of ll....
