Chanting "DEA Go Away!" supporters of medical marijuana met DEA agents and other law enforcement officials as they were raiding a South Hill medical marijuana dispensary Thursday afternoon.

The DEA is raiding several medical marijuana dispensaries in Spokane in what Assistant US Attorney Tom Rice is describing as "Official Law Enforcement Action." Rice confirmed a raid was taking place at the THC Pharmacy in the South Perry District on the South Hill.

Club Compassion, located at 1004 E. Bridgeport, was also being raided by authorities. An eyewitness reported that a third medical marijuana dispensary, located at the intersection of Market and Peone, was being raided as well.

Ugh, leave mmj alone already. If I recall correctly, Obama said the raids would stop a long time ago, something like if the states had approved it then the feds wouldn't interfere...Am I just imagining he said that?

I dont really believe in 'God', but I have often wondered if 'God' showed up tomorrow and met with the leaders of the world and said "I put marijuana and all other drugs on this Earth for people to enjoy, quit fucking with them" if the USA would change it's whole "In God We Trust" ideology to "In God We Trusted Until We Found Out He Supported Drug Use"

^Lol that's so true man. That would cause some serious chaos. Makes me smile imagining what it would be like. Hell if "God" did that I might just start going to church.

Indeed, the use of medical marijuana has been a hot debatable issue for several years already. To some, medical marijuana is remonstrated because they consider it as illegal, but to others, medical cannabis sativa represents an essential medicine that alleviates debilitating symptoms. Now, with regard to cannabis dispensary, it reminds me of a huge issue that stirred the populace in San Jose, California. Have you heard about it? If not, please allow me to share it here. Every year, the state of California gets significant amounts of money from medical cannabis. Yes, you read it right! There is around $1 billion in profits taxes paid to California and its towns from weed profits. But, the area of San Jose has voted to limit medical marijuana sales within the city. The vote, however, also makes medical weed profits in the area legal. Now, what do you think will be its impact? As we all know, for many seriously ill people, medical marijuana is the only medicine that relieves their suffering and because of this, many states legalized its utilization. But limiting it in San Jose, California could taper off drug tolerance and could also aggrandize their pain. What do you think?

Thats exactly what i thought reading the title and I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers one of the many things he said that turned out to be a lie.

That also holds true for many if not most past presidents, not just Obama; not exactly sticking up for him just saying its par for the course unfortunately.

I feel you, yeah he said the raids would stop, but do you honestly think it would be better with anyone else (except perhaps ron paul) who has a shot at beng president?

his hands are kinda tied guys

There are an alarmingly small amout of RP supporters on this site. It actually makes me doubt people's view on the goad of HR websites like this; They realize it's your own personal right to do so and share information in the name of reducing the harms of drugs people will inevitably use. Then they turn around and say the guy in favor of that being the goal of society at large is a loon. Check out the "Caldron pushes for legalization" article in Drugs in the Media. I've been defending the man's integrity all day
