I would like to add to the list:
+ Don't complicate your situation - If you know you're on something admit this to yourself and admit that it is exactly that, that is doing something to you. I.e. if you are on speed, don't think it's paranoia rather think it's the speed.
+ Stay hydrated no matter what. Make sure to drink a water when you can.
+ Speak to the person who you are getting stuff off and see what their advice is. Sometimes it's not honest but then again sometimes it can be.
+ Be in the best environment possible when taking, i.e. a friends place and not at a festival.
+ Check all over the net bout safety before consuming your DOC.
