Jetstar apologises after crew member advises passengers to flush their drugs
The Sydney Morning Herald
July 30th, 2014

Jetstar has apologised after a crew member advised Splendour in the Grass festival goers to dump their drugs before landing in Sydney.

People who attended the music festival near Byron Bay were on a flight out of the Gold Coast on Sunday night when the crew member issued a public announcement.

The flight attendant said sniffer dogs and quarantine officers were waiting at the domestic terminal and advised them to flush "anything you shouldn't have" down the toilet.

The announcement reportedly sparked a rush to the bathrooms.

Jetstar says the staff member will be reprimanded.

Isn't that nice! :D

Haaaaaa!!! Well hey IMO it's good looking out if true. It probably wasn't so that's pretty shitty.
I would never fly with drugs though, that seems crazy in this would we live in now. Your almost guaranteed to be searched I think. And sniffer dogs too , tough to get by them,
I would've just dosed before I flushed for sure!
Idk how to feel about this though hmmmm. Usually I feel strongly one way or the other but this is a bit tough. I have a strange feeling in head now, lol...

:) good on him/her. I hope they dont lose their job over it.

Sniffer dogs are a joke here, they are at all (larger, mainstream) festivals and often at train stations, walked thru night clubs and streets and raves and they usually only catch end users. What a waste of money, time and resources.
