Are there any Bluelighters who are currently studying a language other than English, or have done in the past, and would like to practice their writing skills?

I am currently studying German and would love to perhaps start a PM or email exchange with someone, ALL in German, so I/we can practice things like correct word order, cases, tenses etc. I have been studying German at uni all this year, and have my final exams in a few weeks and would really love to get a bit more practice with writing/reading. Plus, as a bonus I'd get to know a few more lovely Bluelighters in the process :)

Any takers?? PM me if you're interested. Alles auf Deutsch, natürlich ;)

This of course also applies to all other language students!! Post in this thread if you would like to "meet" other language students so you can practice together :)

This is a good idea. I've also been trying very hard to learn french over the past few years. I'd be interested in doing this en francais aussi.

I've been meaning to change the title of this thread to encompass ALL language students! But keep forgetting...

I'll do that right now... :)

Est-ce qu'il y a une personne qui veux m'aider avec mes etudes en francais? Je suis encore attendant. Corrigez-moi s'il vous plaits!

nice idea, n3o. on top of work and study, the final six weeks before going back to china for 2 months, i've been revising 3 lessons/weekday. 90 all up. 60 down, 30 to go. i'm hitting it now on about 95-98%, so if i aint conversant by the time i get back, i never will be.

my lessons are entirely audio, so i have no idea about reading and writing. so unfortunately, i won't be able to play this game.

I plan on taking German in University, and have taken French in "extended French" program in Canada since grade 7. My French is still pretty poor orally and written, but my reading is good. Not sure I'd be of much help to you Cyc as I'm not fluent, but if there is someone who is I'd also be willing to accept help! My schooling consisted mostly of reading and understand in French, as well as conjugations/grammar. Very little oral work.

The conjugation of "vouloir" in your sentence is wrong, to my understanding. It should be "veut" instead of "veux" as you're talking to a person as a generality, not specifically to them (I want someone/I want YOU). Like I said though, I could be wrong. I also believe your conjugation of "attendre" is wrong. I'll be back later, but I don't have the time to see if it is or isn't right now.

i speak Japanese well, but struggle to write it, especially as i don't have a japanese character keyboard right now!
anyone want to communicate?
