Wow I will take that with a grain of salt and my posts are NEVER BITCHING I have rated stamps or asked questions in the appropriate sections, why are you taking offense if you were following the rules, the ppl who fucked this up know who they are and if you were not one of them then why care, ppl talk shit about NJ ppl too but if I'm not involved I let it roll off my shoulder. This is the reason that it got closed to begin with, if you have a problem with me then send me a PM this is not the place for it. And like I said if it don't apply then let it fly.

I have only made a few posts but every post I have made has been by the book. Please dont lump people from the burgh together cause it aint just us. Why would you bring that talking crap garbage into this new thread? I would love to see this thread opened up again. Not closed permanantly because NJPrincess wants to start a turf war.

I agree to follow the rules As I have been.

It seems most of the blatant infractions are committed by noobs with little time since their join date and very few total posts.

As a suggestion, would it be possible to implement a prerequisite number of posts or time period since joining to post in the Stamps thread?

Maybe require someone to have 25 posts or 3 months since joining to post in the thread. Not that this would eliminate people from doing/typing dumb things but it would prevent the morons who sign up only to look for a source or to ask about a stamp they just heard of because they are sick and desperate on that particular day.

It would also ensure that people posting have some basic experience with BL and our policies/rules

While I understand your point.... Just because I have had just a few posts does not mean I am any less qualified to stop someone from being ripped off or even better SAVE A LIFE!!!!

not a good idea. Us "NOOBS" are filled with a wealth of knowledge.

Not trying to start a turf war at all why are you people taking it this way I was just saying that we have been getting along fine until a few months ago when all these new people came into this thread and did not follow the rules. I am not saying all people from Pittsburgh are bad posters some are really good posters, all I am saying is that it started when these new Pittsburgh people came around. This has nothing to do with turf wars so please lets not go there. Like I said if you are a good poster then don't take offense, if you look back through what happened there were like 5-6 different new users from Pittsburgh that were really in violation, not saying that NJ ppl don't fuck up too cause the girl who actually broke the camels back is from NJ. If I offended people I apologize, believe me I am not about drama at all. This thread is the most important thread to me it has saved me time and time again so lets drop the nonsense and get back to rating stamps.

This is the problem we are having is that while you may follow the rules we the majority are getting punished for the minority that don't follow the rules. I agree that if you are a newbie you should be put on a stricter leash I think you should be able to post but if you break the rules thats it not a million warnings and excuses oh its cause im new. The rules are right there big and red in the first page.

Thats not the question. No one is doubting anyone's ability to rate dope. Any user can do that. The question is whether people who signed up 30 seconds ago are familiar enough with the rules of the site and more importantly, the rules of this thread.

This is easily the most controversial thread on BL IMO and don't think it would hurt to require someone to put in some posts in other threads before posting in the grand-daddy of all controversial threads. Especially when most (but not all) of the issues start with someone new who claims ignorance of the rules.

i really hope this opens back up soon. i reread the rules and i know im new so i will make sure i dont break the rules. sorry if i did it in the past. i just hope it opens back up!

There's a couple of things I still don't understand. And as Lacey said on the first page, this is the place to discuss it, so lets discuss...not attack.:) In the rules about sourcing an example of what is NOT allowed was "Homestead, PA" instead of Pittsburgh. But Pittsburgh is not like Newark, or Paterson. Its much more spread out. And Homestead and Monroeville and others represented here are little towns within themselves; their own police, library, main st., dope scene, etc. I can see not saying southside, or northside or certain districts, but...I will follow this rule.
Also I don't understand why a person can't just ask about a bag w/o rating. I understand if that's all someone does and they don't bring shit to the table. But what if a regular poster asks about a bag every once in a while, and the response is "Stay Away!!!People were gettin mad sick off those bags, they cut with some kind of horse tranquilizer. I read about those at the needle exchange"
Isn't that harm reduction.
But I respect the rules now, and I respect you mods. for doing your thing, especially on a volunteer basis. So strictly rating for me from now on, no bitching or questioning authoritah.
Im a graphic/web design major and I have a little knowledge so far of putting together a site. A site just about stamps. Different threas for different regions. Any advice or suggestions, or if anybody wants to collaberate, hit me.
Don't get me wrong, I dig this site, not just the stamp thread, but the whole thing. I've stayed up many a nite reading all through this site. Very informative and entertaing. i just think a stamp site, kinda like pillreports would be cool. Peace people.

yes... your right.... homestead, monroeville, mckeesport, are not in pittsburgh. they are all towns outside of the city. some a little further than you might think. good point elevator. I wanted to say that in the other thread but wasnt on point there.

i understand your point totally. . .at first i would say i did disagree, but when you mentioned the part about posting in the "grann daddy of all contoversial threads" you got the TARGET! . . .

haha, anyway. . i have always thought this, from back in the day when i was regular on OD, there was a tight set of a few rules that got broke everyday by someone who had just signed up in the past few minutes. and flew in there with a pill id # or a manufacture technique question. i guess things have actually loosened up since the site has been sent to other servers than it was on years ago. . OD used to be the contraversial thread of choice for magazines and editorials to pick on. .but this thread is far more easy to pick on than that

that is why there are still rules that need to be followed now and with that said, now this would be a mojor site reconstruction, but i think SOME threads in general there should be a time limit from the time you join BL till the time you make your first post,NOT all the threads, just certaiin ones like ,very contraversial threads, and also more in depth drug takin threads(which in itself are contraversial also)this would be just to get aquainted with the boards, have time to read the rules, get your self some posts, and watch a bit how infractions are handed and which kind of threads are closed as soon as the MOds see it.

well, i have had a few days now after first findin out that this was closed and i have just been reflecting on how powerful this thread is/was!

and just another thank you to the mods here as well as on the other boards on a job that goes by unnoticed, unless you do something that a member doesnt like. .then they surely notice your presence and make a huge deal about it. . .

also a thank you to all the posters that came in here to show their support and agree to abide by all the rules
