ATTENTION US East-Coast Members: Bad Batch of Heroin Responsible for 4 Deaths in 24h

^^ Read the comments sections of articles about heroin overdoses. People don't wake up and see the problem - instead they talk about how "the world is better off with less junkie scum." (quote from comments section of an article about overdoses in Boston).

It's sad, but people don't get it.
 
I wonder what the death toll is now? Seems like definitely one of the bigger outbreaks. Another mexican super lab up and running?
 
A lot of this still seems speculative. I hate to be that guy, but I'd like to see lab results and more deaths in the major heroin using cities before calling this another outbreak.

Who says that's what Hoffman died of? I did hear about the stamp name, but haven't heard anything about fentanyl. I believe they're doing the autopsy today.

All the news outlets I've seen have mentioned they think it was fent-laced dope. It could very well be the media now sensationalizing the whole thing and calling every H OD fent dope, but it's what they've been saying.

And, some of it is speculative, but they have done tests in these cities where people are dying. That's how they knew it was fent in the bags going around to begin with.

They haven't tested the dope that Hoffman died on yet, but all the other bags in the other cities have been tested.
 
The hypocrisy here is that when an actor dies its a "tragedy" but when a homeless person dies it's "yay, one less junkie on the street."
 
My theory is the heroin was laced with Acetyl- and/or Butyr-Fentanyl, as those opioid RCs have caused so many deaths in Rhode Island and Pennsylvania.

Yeah I'm sure it was one of the analogs and not actual fent. They are all over the place on these RC vendor sites, so it wouldn't take much for someone to order a large supply of it, and just start chopping it into their dope.
 
Back in 2006 it took something like twice the time for half the fatalities to occur. Increase the potency of the offending material and my sense of reason suggests that the length of the process will decrease exponentially.

No need to theorize if there's a lab analysis. I'm guessing such an analysis detected fent in either a seized bag or in the blood of a victim, and this was the pretext for the alert.

edit: just went and read the story and indeed, the lab detected fentanyl in seized bags.

Bear in mind that fent is more potent than acetyl fent (aka desmethyl fent).

From what I've read his stuff tested negative for fentanyl. They didn't specify if they only tested for regular cent.
 
Yeah, that's what I said was most likely what happened from the beginning. Everyone wanted to jump on the fent train...
 
At my mmt clinic there are papers taped to the walls with warnings all over them about the fent going around. I actually think i got some of it last week. I got it from the fake ass kid i know who usually has decent shit but this shit he gave me last time was white really powdery and smelled like nothing. It was all white too which i found odd as a lot of times you can see a little color variation. But i did a test shot and it was kind of gunky...and there were no pins and needles i just felt really sleepy and felt like i wanted to sleep. I only got a little of it but i think if i did the entire bag idk...it was garbage to begin with. Who knows...sucks ppls are dropping bc of this shit. Esp bc ppl will search out this crap. And the maj of ppl think potency equals best stuff when it comes to opis.

Doses for this stuff, and other analogs, seem to go for $3, according to the person that told me about them. So there's plenty of profit to be made.

I still agree with what I've said years ago -fentanyl is a rather shitty recreational drug due to it's dosing. Also, it's not really that euphoric.

This shit gives me fucking goosebumps. i did dope on 1/14/14 and havent done it before since 12/22 and thank fuck im on vivotrol now. anyways if i still lived in baltimore city/county and did dope id prob be dead. shit theres been 4 deaths in 24 hours in lewes,de which is about 20-30 miles from ocean city,md. people are dropping like flies in delaware and definetly in md. shit, alot of deaths happened in harford county md which was 2 counties from where i used to live. it s fucking scary so please please do test shots guys. its your life your fucking with.

My sister is a certified EMT in de and md and she works for lifestar and even they are required to have narcan on hand now when before they werent allowed to. this shit is hitting home and its scary. im very glad i got the vivotrol shot cuz i know for a fact all my bags came from philly and i would know when the occasional batch came from wilmington,de (way up north) cuz the girl told me thats what the dealer told her. either way be fucking careful guys. im so glad my sister doesnt do dope and only fucked with pills and even if she relapses it would be on 30s so i dont have to worry about her falling out. shit hits home hard,and its fucking scary.

its not just in fucking pittsburgh so dont think cuz you live in philly that you wont get that bad batch cuz its everywhere from fucking rhode island to delaware, md, va and all the surrounding places. be careful fuckers !

You'd look out for a dude with sunglasses and a hat driving an Aztek. :D

Nah, that's just the glassine bag color. Blue and white are most common in Philly. But if you're in the scene long enough you'll run into more colors.
