Ok so I've taken myself off many times before but it never sticks. Primarily because I have chronic and acute pain but I just obviously don't have the self disciple to manage my pain and take as prescribed, rather I take too many and I'm stuck buying them off the street for the last week, sometimes two in between my Dr appointments. It's costing a fortune and a few times I fucked up on my ua with the Dr so he cut me off.

I've made it 4 days before and that's the longest EVER. I've tried benzos, pot, suboxone, clon-something or other, even done some hippie shit... meditation, rest, herbal remedies, OTC sleep helpers, floating (special pod filed with salt water at the spa), massage therapy and chiropractic care but I need some advice because nothing seems to help my wd AND manage my pain (not just from wd but why I'm on them in the first place).

Can I get some feedback on what has worked for you all? How many days does it usually go on for?

A little about my history, I've been on them daily for about 5 years now. But during my female cycle I've been on narcotics since I became a woman lol, that sounds hilarious...just didn't know how else to put it. I'm basically no stranger to meds. I take diluadid 4mgs (4 every 4 hours or so) per my Dr. But I'm always in too much pain so I take more than I'm supposed to. My tolerance has gone up and there's nothing else I can do.

When my diluadid is gone, I take 80mg oxys about 4 times per day.

I need a plan because nothing has worked and I'm sick of this ruining my life. I'm in pain but I'm at the point where I think I'd rather hurt than feel nothing. Any feedback would be much appreciated as I'm planning to start in the next day or so.

Thank you kindly!

It is just going to suck for awhile, so just get through it the best you can. There are hundreds of threads on here with suggestions to help withdrawals. Good food, exercise and sleep. Even though sleeping is nearly impossible when detoxing. Good luck.

Just imagine all the folks who cold turkey on a shit covered bathroom floor somewhere in the hood... Seems like you have quite the ideal setting for opiate withdrawals. Now it's just a matter of acquiring a protagonist's attitude to defeat the opiate villain, the antagonist in the story of your dope-life. You have to go in and steal your soul back, so think like a warrior. All the remedies are just replacements, so use them only at absolute breaking points and be completely honest with yourself.

You should look into a pill called gabapentin. you will find a lot of mixed reviews of it online but my mom used it to get through her withdrawals and it helped her tremendously. according to research it is extremely safe and give you a pretty nice high off larger doses. Ask your doctor about it, It is a non narcotic so he will probably be very easy to let you give it a shot
