hi all,
im originally from canada, and now live in indiana. as i go home about every 3 months, i dont usually need to go to the doctor down here, but i got a script for ativan last time i was home, but the doc only gave me 5 .5's as it was jsut a trial to see if it would work for me.
Well, im down here, and they work, and im really happy with the buzz (i find it better if i let em dissolve under my tongue), but im out of em. Just wondering how hard it would be to go to the doc and say "im out of ativan, they were 1mg pills, and i need more" in order to get a bigger dosage, etc. will he check with my doc back home, or is it just best to take the bottle in with me and hope he gives me enough to get me through?
id take any suggestions you guys have.. thanks a lot.
 
It doesnt make sense to that anyway. It's not water soluble. It'll break down quicker if you just eat it.
 
Yeah it does. I think that's mainly for people who have trouble swallowing pills like children and people having seizures.
Anyway, if your doctor perscribed the pills to you to see if they would work why dont you just call him and say "They worked!" He should be able to call you in a full script to a pharmacy close to you. The fact that he is in Canada may or may not be a problem. I really dont know.
 
sputnic... Ativan (Lorazepam) is considered habit forming. In the US, you will have a difficult time getting a script unless you can convince your doctor that you have a medical condition that warrants a benzo to treat short term anxiety. I don't think "they work, and im really happy with the buzz" will do it! But if it does... please lemme know cuz I wanna go to your doctor 2!!!!
 
Did you even read the original post? The doctor gave him ativan to "see if they would work". Do you think he just did this cause he was curious? No. That doesnt make much sense.
Also, getting a steady script of benzos is very easy.
