Ativan and Alcohol?

So i have a mild tolerance to benzos in general, and Lorazepam never was that strong to me. im going out to a bar tonight and was wondering if i drank a 6pack of beer before i go and decided to take 3mg of Ativan that wouldnt be overkill right? thanks for alll answers in advance

Depends on your tolerance. 3mg Ativan is quite a lot, and a sixpack of beer is quite a lot of beer. I'd advise not to mix alcohol and benzos at all, but if you still want to do this, start low (1 beer - 0.5mg) and up your dose if you really need to. Remember that, when drunk, 1mg lorazepam may feel like 5mg lorazepam.
So be REALLY careful when mixing CNS depressants, unless you want to end in a coma or die.

I´ve been in hospital due to this sort mix.
And I my tolerance is high, very high.
I guess my body was chemically overloaded then.
So you never know..
