At my opiate tolerance, is getting high even possible?

First off, I know if I IV I'll get to where I want to be but I've never done that and I don't plan on it.

To stay out of withdrawals I need 60mg Oxy, 48 mg hydromorphone, and 60 mg hydrocodone, and that barely cuts it, it just makes life tolerable. Im being forced to stay at this level because my doctor hands all my prescriptions to my mom (who i still live with unfortunately) and has her dispense them daily. Before they were dispensing them I'd have to say I was taking well over 100 mg dilaudid orally and intranasally.

I just want to know with a tolerance this high, is moving to a new route of administration my only way to get off?
 
You need to take those all at once to stay out of WD?

To get off all you need to do is increase your dose. Simple. I know you can't do that due to your situation, so another route (e.g. snorting or IV) would be the way to go. But think about the fucked up tolerance you're going to get then, and then consider whether it is truly worth it.
 
I don't have any hardcore opiate users so i have nothing to really compare to but is my tolerance considered massive? The thing that fucked it up was methadone, i started abusing my methadone prescription and got up to 100mg a day and even going cold turkey a month before my surgery didn't help with the tolerance.
 
Oh, and I take all of what I said I do except for 12 mg of hydromorphone which i save for night, im a night person so i dont worry about sleeping and just deal with the wd symptoms i get then, the only one that really causes trouble is my mood, i get so pissed i go off on anyone who says something i dont like

not as bad as i thought but then again, that means 132mg to keep me from getting sick, i wonder what it'll take to get high. It sucks too because they won't prescribe me OxyContin, I just have 10/325 Percocet

I guess if I just try to save a pill or 2 a day for a week or so, i might be able to get high. Not even worth it, Im just becoming pathetic now.
 
^ Yeah I get that too (irritable mood), it sucks.

I gotta go, but if your current medication regime isn't cutting it for pain you should speak to your doctor.

THe post-op pain is done with, when I go into rehab (for my knee lol) Im figuring it's gonna be fucked, nobody will want to raise my dose. Sad thing is I know more than all the doctors I've talked to about opiates so they don't even understand everything.

Im very cautious about all that, I never take over 4 grams of APAP in a day. my oxy is 10/325 and my norco is 10/325 so a total of 12 pills =4000mg Paracetamol. Dilaudid has no APAP.
 
^ 4 grams everyday for a long period of time isn't really the the best idea, it just won't kill you that day. CWE takes like 10 minutes, do it.

Yup, you'll have to increase your dose. Either by a.) sticking to the same route and taking more or b.) using a different route with a higher ba. You could also try potentiating, but IMO, that won't really get you anywhere.

Sounds like your best option is to ride it through and get accustomed to your current dose. Then, you could try taking less, a little bit per day, and taking those saved doses all at once on the weekend or whenever, to get a buzz.
 
Well, I found the stash, my doctor is pretty relaxed when it comes to prescriptions. she prescibed me 100 10/325 percocet's (came in the bottle from mallinkcrodt and a bottle of 200 4mg dilaudid, I wish I did IV because a few years ago in the hospital IV dilaudid was amazing. I can't just take them all though, I can't make it obvious, I took 6 more 10/325 percocet and 4 more 4mg dilaudid so I'll see if that helps at all. I wish I didn't find them though because now Im gonna want to take more and more and will eventually get caught up if I do. If I don't get off with these extra pills Im just gonna give up and go along with getting off of these, which is what I should do. More than likely when my surgeon stops prescribing me (she said 3 months post-op, so 2 more months) I'll have to go back to my addiction specialist and get put back on the methadone.
 
I've gotten to the point where I can't even get high anymore. It's frusturating, but it's a sign to stop I think (know).

I would try getting on suboxone.It will help with pain, and within a week or two, you should be able to get off of it and be WD free. Thats considering you're willing and wanting to quit , that is.

i got something wrong with my jaw called biscupular something. well it is very painfull and im going to b getting oxy 40s after the surgery. i take subs and they dont do jack shit for pain. if he needs dillies and all that perc and vic he will b in a ton of pain.. thats why im wiffing up this ms contin 200 right now lol
 
IC (Intra Colon) or "plug" 2/3'rds your usual dose. It works very well for opiates especially when your used to taking them orally and snorting them.
