would Xanax show up on an at home 10 panel with the bzo strip? I know that they test for metabolites and the at home look for Oxazepam and Xanax metabolizes into Aplhaoxyalprazlam. Just curious if anyone has any opinions on this?

Thanks

You are correct that 10 panels test for oxazepam. Alprozolam does not metabolise into oxazepam.

Urine panels are immunoassay based, meaning they rely on antibodies that bind to a specific molecular structure, in this case oxazepam. But antibodies aren't particularly accurate, and if a molecule is similar enough to what the antibody is designed to bind to it will produce a positive result.

It's absolutely within the realm of possibility that you'll test positive for benzodiazepines, but it is unlikely and the test wouldn't be working as intended if that did happen.
