Opioids At any point does it become dangerous to mix Promethazine and opiates?

I usually use Promethazine Hydrochloride with my Oxycodone (well any opiate, Oxy is my fav).
I take 20mg just for the antihistamine properties - especially if I'm also using a really itchy ope like codeine - and because it's relaxing and a nice synegiser.

At night I take anywhere from 40-80mg (never more then 20mg in one given hour, though) to potentiate the oxy and because it makes me feel sleepy and really really helps with my insomnia.

Because Opiates make you drowzy and promethazine makes you drowzy...is there a risk there? I'm guessing it's a low risk. Much lower than Opiates and benzos or alcohol mixed...better safe than sorry, though, right?

Not really aside from the obvious. Sedating antihistamines will potentiate the sedative effects of opioids.

Not that adding in an antihistamine will kill you (they are pretty popular as potentiators of opioids), but something to be aware of.
