Astounding Glorious Stockholm Sun Halo

Scandinavian countries get some of the most impressive aeriel light phenomen the planet is witness to. During the winter months, the ice crystals refract light in the most spectacular ways, not to mention the breathtakingly awesome Aurorae Borealis. I'm sure Antarctica sees similar luminescent magnificence (like Aurorae Australis).

I think one of the reasons these displays are so jaw-dropping is because - for folk who really appreciate natural beauty - water is a fluid yantra, with a temporal 'snapshot' of the cosmic order created every time it freezes. And thenceforth the Organic Light refracting through these infinite yantric expressions dazzles and calls to surrender the mind of the beholder, touching the very heart of our emotional and intuitive connection to our Gaian Mother.

Incredible. The first picture is my new desktop wallpaper by the way:) I'm hoping to embark on my first mushroom trip today, I'll be sure to give this picture a nice examination8o
 
It wasn't nearly as impressive. But i saw a moondog a month or two ago.

Complete circle around a full moon making a rainbow in the dark around it.

Same kind of concept though.

Double rainbow has nothing on this.
 
A friend said "looks rather like the head of a Deity manifesting, doesn't it?"

Imagine a bald Buddha head, glowing with holy energy outflows just starting to stick up over the horizon, with the sun where the Third Eye would be, middle of forehead, haha!
