I learned in another forum that taking aspirin before coking up is a good harm reduction thing to do. I usually take the low dosage aspirin (81 mgs) every two/three hours and I feel like it definitely helps.

From Wikipedia:
Aspirin or acetylsalicylic acid is a drug in the family of salicylates, often used as an analgesic (against minor pains and aches), antipyretic (against fever), and anti-inflammatory. It has also an anticoagulant ("blood-thinning") effect and is used in long-term low-doses to prevent heart attacks.

Low-dose long-term aspirin irreversibly blocks formation of thromboxane A2 in platelets, producing an inhibitory effect on platelet aggregation, and this blood-thinning property makes it useful for reducing the incidence of heart attacks. Aspirin produced for this purpose often comes in 75 or 81 mg dispersible tablets and is sometimes called “Junior aspirin”. High doses of aspirin are also given immediately after an acute heart attack. These doses may also inhibit the synthesis of prothrombin and may therefore produce a second and different anticoagulant effect.

Possibly. As for myself, I'm allergic to aspirin (my eyes puff up like a pufferfish and I could possibly die if I take it!) So ....yep.

As for it's connection to cocaine in terms of harm reduction....I don't understand:\

Cocaine thickens your blood thats why people have heart problems on it but aspirin thins the blood and prevents heart attacks.

Although this is related to general healthyness it might be better questioned or discussed in Advanced Drug Discussion perhaps. Might get a clearer picture as to whether it'd help or be rather dangerous or do nothing :)

I thought this might be more dangerous? because it is a blood thinner and with the stimulation of pulse and heartrate from coke?

"Cocaine thickens your blood"
What does that mean?

okk geez. I meant in general aspirin helps prevent heart attacks and weird heart shit which people seem to be paranoid about while coked up. I don't work for aspirin, im not trying to promote the damn thing.

more important than coke "thickening blood" is that it is a vasoconstrictor. a person with lipoprotein buildup,of normal porportions, when using coke just closed off the pathways of blood to the heart that much more. as far as harm reduction it would be better to look for something that acts as a vasodiolator, rather than just a "blood thinner" like asparin that helps keep clots from forming. but you have to be careful,as having drugs that act on beta and alpha receptors in the body at the same time can be dangerous, inevitably tightening the pulmonary muscle tissue and speeding heartrate which causes a person to explode in a fireball.a tactic used by hezbollah.
