Hi everyone! So i finished High school this july, and then we both moved away, she went to the UK, i went to study in Budapest. We were friends for 2.5 years, not best friends or anything like that but we talked a lot and enjoyed each others company.
In my high school there's a book where every pupil who graduates is in it, and you can write to each other. So we were friends, but unfortunately I liked her, all though for a long time she didn't know and I didn't really try anything. I was cool with that.
Then came the moment when we're supposed to write in that book, and I didn't write to her because i thaught I really shouldn't if I have feelings for her and she didn't know it. Honestly I didn't even think she would write for me, but she did. She wrote very nice things and everything, and i felt embaressed because I didn't. So i said f*ck everything I'll ask for her a date. She blew me off, and well i texted her sometimes drunk... The end of the story is that we both moved away and we haven't mailed each other since.
I really want to get back in touch with her because she's really a nice girl and I really want to be friends(!) with her, nothing more. Obviosly I learned my lesson.
If you think I have shot in this, you'd really help me out on some point how to construct a letter I'd send on facebook! :):) And tell me if it's a bad idea as well :?

I think you should send her a Fb message asking for her real address, and send her A REAL LETTER/ care package!!! I know this would totally win me over and could be the start of a really fun back and forth sending letters and cool things from your respective home countries!!! Maybe send things you can only get in the USA, that she might be missing? Like certain types of candy haha. Sending a physical letter really shows that you CARE. Anyone can type out a quick facebook message, but it takes time, effort and love to send real mail. Good luck!

Wait, are you in the USA or Budapest? Is she still in the UK? either way...consider my idea!!! Just send cool things from wherever you are. ;)

Sure, no reason why you can't contact her and ask to be friends! I don't see why she would ignore that or be unpleasant about it or anything :) just don't overthink it, remember you might just because you had (have?) feelings for her when really she won't read into things as much as you might. I'm sure it'll be fine and it's always nice to catch up with people.
