Not that it will do any good but at least someone in the progressive media is paying attention....

Prohibition in Real-Time: the House Votes to Criminalize Dozens of New Chemicals, Putting Politics Before Science
Anecdotal evidence beat out science in debate over the bill, which will ban 40 relatively unknown chemicals found in bath salts and fake pot, and make researching them difficult.

Only 12 comments so far there, but they usually have very lively discussions over there at Alternet among smart literate people, so this might be a chance for some psychonauts to help educate & agitate "the left." (Only thing is an annoying double-registration / 3rd party discussion management system is pretty aggravating, but it would be interesting to see what could come of the intermixing of the two cultures.)

The woman was high on bath salts she purchased from a local hedge [head] shop.

LOL.

If those in political power are really trying naively to protect drug users from harming themselves, I can't see how they could come to the conclusion that the best solution is to imprison said users.

As Joe Rogan said (tongue in cheek), "Let's Nerf™ the world!".

there are still plenty more chemicals left but the whole scene seems to be different in the last few months; i don't know what's up but canada's rc scene has gone to shit. Same with the US.

This belongs in the 'Drugs in the Media' forum but I will leave it for now. Prepare to see it moved later on though.

Dwayne, considering you post about articles in PD every now and then. Would you please remember this for future reference? We don't have that Drugs in the Media forum for shits and giggles. Thnx.

Will do, Sol.

I wonder what synthetic opiod it is that it mentions in the article? Especially considering it may cure/treat Parkinsons?

Thats news to me.
