hi guys ever since i've been on MMT i've noticed a bit of finger and toe pain that is not associated with withdrawal and directly related (in my opinion) to the medicine.

anyone have any experience with this?

the reason i feel like its associated is because i feel it in the morning (no other withdrawal like pains) and i have started and stopped the treatment a few times and every time i stop i notice the pain does not persist.

The official methadone product monograph does not list joint pain or swelling as a potential side effect for methadone, although several other online sources do.

Whatever the case is, this isn't a common reaction to methadone and you'd be best talking with your physician about it. Other lifestyle factors or changes since going on methadone may also be affecting your joints and causing pain.

Since we can really only speculate here, I'm going to go ahead and close this. Please don't hesitate to PM me if you have a problem with this :)
