Idk, in this day and age of selfies and me me me, I'm not even sure what really is borderline narcissism or not. Either way, if the levels aren't taken too far then it's fine.
Being self conscious is totally natural though. Attraction to or admiring one's self...uhh, honestly, whatever floats your boat. There's a real negative stigma about it but honestly, if you aren't hurting yourself or others, I don't see why it's that bad. I think it's more of a personal matter and whether or not you choose to focus more on yourself or others, naturally [inclined] or otherwise.
But yeah, it's definitely uncomfortable to talk about in the open, aka a forum/board. Not to mention all the memes and the general, societal view on the subject gets all of us to have a strong opinion on it, that's either full of conviction or held back in the shadows.
Mine? Well, I've always been that mediator kind of guy (even among friends and families...it's almost kind of sad because I rarely "get" to stand up for what I really think or feel, unless it's really important) so it's difficult for me to choose sides on controversial topics or even people themselves. Unfortunately, sometimes I have a tendency to switch back and forth while trying to minimize the contradictory (damn the dichotomies in life, one of which is trying to appease opposing sides at once but people around me seem to think I specialize in that or some crap) nature of it, so I'm going to stick with my first answer: it's fine. Just don't overdo it...?
Sorry, I'm on one. Sooooo...I'll leave now.
